OK, say you have a dog and he's a golden lab. You go to the park with your dog and somehow lose him. And there are a couple of golden labs running about. You call out your dog's name but all the golden labs are busy playing around with each other and don't care about you. So then, you walk up to those dogs and look at each dog's face. Then you recognise your own dog among them and take him home.
That, my friend, is why dogs have faces.

As a dog, I would very much enjoy to actually see, hear and smell things so I dont drop dead 3 seconds after birth. Why ask about dogs? What about them makes them undeserving of a face as opposed to other creatures?

thats just a weird question. why do we have faces? i mean seriously . if you really think about it nothing is necessary except cell division in this world to exist so why bother having anything. so basically u dont even need a face.

You've got to put the food somewhere so the dog can keep living. A face serves this purpose.

All mammals have faces, including humans, and use them for the same reason.
We communicate--gather information and give it out--through the senses collaborated on our faces. Dogs communicate just as effectively as you do, or maybe even better, since they don't speak English and still get their needs known and met.

without a face they wouldn't have a nose, without a nose they wouldn't be able to breathe, without eyes they wouldn't be able to see, without a mouth they wouldn't be able to eat. I think that might be it.
Seriously I can't believe you wasted 5 points on that.
