I like collecting Foreign Currency.
There are thousands of pieces around the world, making this a endless hobby.
I started collected currency in any condition. But now that I have been doing it for years I only look for uncirculated pieces, and try to sell the non uncirculated pieces.
I have pieces that are worth a lot. As it stands I will always keep them.
This hobby gives me a chance to learn about different countries, and there culture.

I collect vases. Sometimes I find them on e-bay, and if they're reasonably priced, and I absolutely love them, I get them. I especially like Waterford crystal rose bowls. I know what they sell for retail, and the e-bay price is a steal.
I love to arrange flowers. Having the right vase for the type of flower is so important if you want a stunning arrangement.
For the same reason, I collect pitchers. I adore pitchers with country flowers spilling out of them.
I don't go to antique shops or garage sales very often, but I guess e-bay is just about the same, right? I never pay what the item is worth. I buy at 50% or less or I don't buy at all.

I collect statues of fairies and related fairy paraphenalia (books, signs, etc.). Mostly I pick them up wherever I find them. I don't think I've ever spent more than $50 or so for one. I would, though, if I found one that really "spoke to me" and I happened to have the money for it. I am just enchanted with the idea that there may be tiny magical beings sharing my house and garden, without me being any the wiser!
I also collect buttons, because they are pretty (love all the different colors and shapes and sizes), and books, because I love to read, and antiques - nothing way expensive, just (again) things that "speak to me." I like to wonder about all the hands that touced an item before it ended up with me, and about the lives of all the other people, now long gone, who used to be the caretakers of items that now are cared for by me. I guess I just have a rich fantasy life, and collectibles are an avenue to get the daydreams going!! =)
The antiques are probably my biggest ticket items - I have a piano that is in pristine condition that is over 100 years old; an antique treadle sewing machine; an original print by Henry Hutt, circa 1911; a working cylinder phonograph and cylinders, etc. I can't imagine parting with any of these things. The piano was a Christmas gift from my husband, the phonograph was my father's aunt's, etc. They will just be with me, and after me, my children....it's partly sentimental, and partly because I feel honored to have ended up with these items, and want to continue to honor and respect them, and ensure that their care continues long after I am gone.
Hope this helps.

i collect Coca Cola items from new to older.. I have a few that inherited from family members that r worth some $ but nothing that big. It drives my hubby crazy.
I also love to collect different type of baskets even tho i've slowed down on that as well. My most valueable ones r Longerberger Baskets.
I also like collecting playing cards. One of these days, I'll get them displayed in a case/frame. I have some playing cards from LV casino's that do not exsist anymore so they r worth some $ but not enuff to buy a car.

I have collections of different things: King Tut, books about Egypt, Betty Boop dolls, Small castles, some gem stones,
Sewing fabrics( my largest collection), books- mystery, Dead Sea Scrolls, Alfred Hitchcock, Ellery Queen, vintage jewelry, Snoopy & Fred Flintstone.
I have picked them at different places, Estate sales, flea market, thrift stores and new at stores.
I do plan on selling most of them some day on e-bay.
My gems are worth more I think and I will keep those.

I collect clothing tags. Some tags have very cool art so I collect those and keep them in a shoebox. I have about 25. When I get new clothes, I take tags off and decide if they are 'worthy' of my collection. My friends think they're cool.

I used to collect marvel comics (spiderman, x-men...), characters and movies stickers (actors, scenes) and DVDs for series Farscape but it just got boring. now i am looking for something more.... *sigh*
although I am still looking, i am kind of attracted to completely unusual movie items; something out of the ordinary with a movie character or scene on it... hehe
for example: fake nails with movie star on them, glasses and drinking glasses with movie themes or actors on them.... things like that?
I am not sure i have seen one that is eye popping yet... but i am still looking....
