the point of sweating in a steam room is to release the toxins in your body and cleanse your blood stream.

the point of sweating while running is really your body's response to keeping your body temperature down and doesn't really do anything in terms of making you stronger or lose weight. the reason why running is so effective for exercise is because it utilizes a lot of muscles (legs, abs, arms) and therefore burns the most calories which lead to calorie loss and building of muscles. being in a steam room doesn't do any of that. you may find that you lose some weight being in a steam room but that's because you are dehydrating yourself and nt because you are burning fat.

hope that helps.

U are only losing water weight by sweating with the sweater on, and water weight comes back within 24 once u start back eating and drinking, only thing than better than beats swimming as a workout is jogging. Ask any guy who wrestled in school and they will tell u that water weight is temporary

Sweating alone does not cause weight loss. You may get just as sweaty; but you will only be as 'stinky' as the guy who runs - you won't burn any more calories than watching TV, and won't improve overall fitness or conditioning.
Sorry, if you want the benefits, you have to do the time and effort.

It doesn't really matter. You won't lose any fat if you just sweat. Unfortunately, you have to work for weight loss, otherwise everyone would be skinny. To be honest though, walking for 20-30 minutes a day will get you started, and it prolly won't make you that tired depending on your weight/age.

No. Sweating does not necessarily equate losing calories. In fact, I heard that running during winter in the cold burns more calories because your body uses more energy to try and keep itself warm.

If you want to get healthy and lose weight, I'm sorry but you gotta work for it.
