I know this question has been asked over and over again, but I'll throw in some details :-)

I saw Ka last year and absolutely ADORED it. Bought the CD, listen to it practically everyday, etc. I also saw Corteo just a little ago, which I thought was good, but definitely not as amazing as Ka. I realize that Corteo is a lot more of a "classic" Cirque show, with stunts, etc.

Now I might be going to Vegas again this year, and my friends and I are trying to decide on a show. Right now, it's pretty much Ka, O, or Mystere. Money isn't too much of a problem, so even though Mystere is cheaper, that isn't our deciding factor.

My friends have never seen a Cirque show, so which show do you suggest? Mystere seems more like Corteo. I would LOVE to see Ka again, at the same time O seems amazing too (hard choices!).

Note though, these friends were in a competition swim team so they might not be as impressed with the O feats.

Now that all variables are here, which show do you suggest?

I would very highly recommend O. I went with a good friend of mine who has been to pretty much every Cirque show she can find, and this one totally wowed her. I loved it so much I'd pay that much to see it again :)

I saw Ka last year and loved it! But the first Cirque show my friends and I went to was Zumanity. We had a blast -- but it is a bit more sexual than your regular Cirque show. From what I have seen previews of "Love" it don't look too interesting. I would suggest either Mystere or -- although seeing Ka again would be fun - do something that is new to you (and your friends)

I will always recommend Mystere. However, I have not seen Ka yet. I would like to.

My personal, absolutely favorite show in Las Vegas is Mystere (Cirque du Soleil) at TI. Sit towards the front (1-4th row) in the SECOND section for best seats. (Probably like Ka)

If you like to know the origins/history of people and places, Mystere was the first. I can offer is the following: Since Mystere, many many shows (besides & including Cirque) have developed similarities to Mystere, and in fact, there are 5 Cirque du Soleil's in town now. (Mystere, O, Zumanity, Ka, and Love) Franco Dragone produced Mystere and has been credited with changing the nature of productions in Las Vegas. He has developed four shows in Las Vegas now (Mystere, O, Le Reve, and Celine Dion's "A New Day")

Since I haven't seen some of the others, I can't compare, but Franco Dragone is a well know name in Vegas and it may interest you to see one of his productions of Cirque.

I'm also, always, up for something new. Your friends will like Mystere regardless since they have nothing to compare it to and you will have seen a new show.

If you don't want "classic" cirque then what about LOVE at the Mirage? I haven't seen Ka but I liked Mystere a bit better than O.

I've seen KA, which is at the MGM Grand. It was very long but simply incredible. I would give it 5 stars. I've seen Zumanity - very cheesy. They pull audience members up on stage and go out into the crowd. Not sexy at all - only one part of the show was worth anything and it was two girls swimming topless in a big fishbowl. I've heard bad things about Believe and have no info on Mystere or O..although they're on my list as well. I'd go with KA, you won't be disappointed!

You didnt mention Zumanity at NYNY? Its edgier than Cirque's other shows so its not the best choice for kids but if you are all adults it may be what you are looking for. Its definitely different from their other productions.

Here is the link to the NYNY webpage with ticket and seating info...
