I became Herm Edwards biggest enemy when last year during the playoffs he pretty much through the game away against the Colts.
Not that we would have won the whole thing anyways but at least give them the best chance possible and that was with Huard playing QB. Green was a sure thing to lose the game the way he played the last 2-3 games of the reg season! Horribly!
In my mind, the only reason he didn't put Huard back in was because everyone else wanted him to and his ego got in the way because he knew he thought he was right.
I lost all respect for Herm right then and there.
The only way I can imagine I'll get it back is if he takes them all the way.
Unlikely.

I wouldn't say that the Chiefs are that much different than they were before. I think everyone else has been getting better around them, but they're still the same. They can still run the ball (just not on the Colts...who knew?) and get decent production from their QB, whether it's Green or Huard. We'll just have to see Croyle and Huard. They never had a good defense and they still don't.
Has Herm Edwards ruined the Jets? Kinda. Their window for a championship is closing, and it seems as if Herm Edwards is just going to let it happen. More than anything, I think Herm is ruining the Jets. As in it'll be this season when you see the meltdown.

Going into last season the Chiefs were HUGE contenders... they have been for quite some time, just look at all the undefeated streaks to start off the season the past couple of years. Now with a back like Larry Johnson in the backfield it seemed like it was all finally coming together, then Trent Green got injured and it all went down hill. Like it or not pre-concussion Trent Green was a top 5 quarterback in the NFL, very consistent and was a very good precision passer. Green just wasn't and wont be the same after the concussion in my opinion. I don't think all of the blame is on Herm but some of it is in his poor decision making as a coach. I think more than anything its just bad timing, Herm's first year they lose their franchise quarterback and a very large key component to their offensive line to retirement. Now Larry Johnson wants more money which KC isn't going to give him now that they're rebuilding so say good bye to him. Like I said, he's not a good coach at all, but you can't blame KC's downfall on Herm Edwards.

I hate Herm Edwards with a passion. I think this is going to be a very frustrating season on the offensive side of the ball. I'm guessing it's going to be something like Marty-ball, but worse. I'm almost hoping he tanks the team so badly they have to fire him and then maybe we could have a shot at getting Cowher to come out of retirement and back to his roots in KC (assuming Cowher isn't coaching somewhere else by then). Knowing Carl Peterson, though, any change in the head coaching position will be too little, too late.

The Chiefs are ruined just fine on their own! But a HUGE bonus for you is the aquisition of Donney Edwards from San Diego. He led the team in tackles for the last 5 years. Only thing that sucks is what I'm going to do with my #59 jerseys now that he's gone............

Yes it must kill Vermiell to watch what's happening to his team in KC. KC used to be one of my faves but now it's a train wreck. After what Herm Edwards did to the Jets I can't believe KC took a chance on him. Mangini turned the Jets back around in a season.

Marty ruined the Chiefs before Herm ever had a chance. Hell, Marty ruined them for Dick Vermeil.
