Yes, women tend to think and decide things with their emotions - logic comes second, whereas men do it with their logic- then emotions are second - purely biological.
Let me explicate: women have a highly developed corpus callosum (the section of the brain which facilitates communication b/w the two sides of the brain). The brain is divided into 2 hemispheres - the left side is the site of all logical thought, and the right side is the center of all emotional thought. So women have more connective tissue b/w the two sides than men. What does this mean? it means that women process stimuli with both sides of the brain more so than men do. In practice, we see this all the time as women place a heavy emotional subtext on virtually all stimuli they perceive. In fact, one could very effectively argue that emotions are detrimental to decision making as they often times conflict with logical thought. So having more communication b/w the logical side and emotional side of the brain does not necessarily mean its a good thing, as far as objective decision making is concerned.
Here's a few links that support this premise:
"Men are hard-wired differently," explains David .Powell, PhD, president of the International Center for Health Concerns, who explains that the connection between the left brain, home of logic, and the right, the seat of emotions, is much greater in women. "
"Women operate more from the right side of their brain. The right side of the brain is more emotional. Men are usually stuck in the left side of their brain. The left side of the brain is more logic oriented."
"The left side of the body controlled by the right brain is considered female and the right side controlled by the left brain is considered male"
-linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S1072751504013547
So this is why, in a real-world application, women are far more emotional than men. Anyone who claims otherwise is just delusional, and/or intolerant of people who are criticial of women in general, such as Lekmich.
"There is no scientific evidence suggesting women "in general" are any more emotional than men, and THAT'S the bottom line."
LOL, what the hell are you talking about? Stop being so self-righteous - there is plenty of evidence out there, you're just claiming there isn't b/c you're either ignorant or you can't accept reality. Geez.

Estrogen does not make women more emotional. Estrogen is responsible for secondary sex characteristics, development and growth of long bones, and stimulation of other glands.
Indirectly it has an effect but please, everybody stop making false statements. Just because estrogen is the most well known female hormone (men have it too) does not mean it is responsible for the difference in men and womens emotions
It is a lot of cultural, a little of estrogen. I say this for two reasons:
1. If it was estrogen, there wouldnt be such a discrepancy of emotional demeanor between women. Of course there are the people who have gland issues but most people have normal hormonal loads.
2. If it was biological Id assume you would have been able to come up with a medical reason that is factual instead of scapegoating estrogen to justify a social behavior.

Never minding the social construct women hands down are more emotional; that's the way it is and that's the way it will always be, some more so than others.

It is biological. Women's part of the brain that controls emotions is bigger which is why they are more sensitive. Next come the so-called ''social construct''. Yes women are 'allowed' to show more emotions but social constructs are based on biological truths so it's really biological. Feminists consider everything a social construct except for the few educated ones who took a biology course.
EDIT
I never said it was estrogen.
Read this it's interesting: http://people.howstuffworks.com/women1.htm

EDIT
Actually there IS evidence. Read sources above.

I think women are naturally more open about their emotions, probably because traditionally we are allowed to be. I don't necessarily think that all women are more emotional than all men because it really all comes down to personality/genetic characteristics which are not really governed by gender.

I personally feel that women are "nurturally" more emotional, meaning that women are socialized as children to be more in touch with their emotions, while men are not

Yes. Women have estrogen which makes them more emotioanl,. They do not hold back on their feelings as much as men do but their are some exceptions. Women also have alot more pain in generaal so they are more emotional.

In general, I think so, but I also know a few who aren't (myself included - people can say pretty much anything and do pretty much anything ... and no emotion comes).

Yes, we're full of emotions ... that's why men love us. They love the way we laugh, giggle, and coo. Men love the way we can watch a Klenex commercial and get emotional ... and men love it when we look into their eyes with a passion they've never experience before.
