so i'm looking into some new performace parts for my car, (its a 95 Lumina, it needs all the help it can get) anyway, such being the case, I went to the best name of performace flow systems that I knew. Borla Exhaust. And found this... http://www.borla.com/products/product_multi_detail.aspx?cat=2&type=88&desc=Universal+Mufflers%2c+Tubing+%26+Hardware|S-Type It says its universal so it should fit my car...right?

It means you can make it fit anything but it really doesn't fit anything right. If it is a universal exhaust be prepared to spend some time fitting and modifying to get a good fit.

When it is called universal, it's because it is supposed to fit all cars. so that ad implies that it will fit your car or any car, for that matter.
