It'll be alright!! You have to use a tampon if you're going swimming though. I know it's really scary to use one the first time, I was practically crying. I tried to put in in like 3 times and thought I couldn't do it but I forced myself to. Just put it in and change it every 3 or 4 hours. The water helps a little like you know when you take a bath and it stops? You still have to wear a tampon cause you'll probably be getting out of the water a couple times. Have fun swimming and be confident sweetie!!

Your mom will definitely understand that you have gotten your period. Every woman gets her period at some point or another. All it means is that you're growing up, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's perfectly normal! Tell your mom that you wish to speak with her, and just tell her that you recently got your period and that you want to use tampons. Tell her that you have heard that they are more comfortable than pads (which they are). Your mom will not be opposed to you using tampons. A lot of women use tampons, they're much better than pads! I recommend that you use Playtex Gentle Glide, or the Playtex sporty ones. Whatever you choose, DON'T buy the cardboard type tampons. They are super uncomfortable! Also, it might take you a few tries to insert a tampon correctly, and it might be uncomfortable at first. Just be patient, and before you know it putting in a tampon will be second nature. Just don't hide things from your mom, ok? There's no reason to hide a perfectly normal thing.

Firstly try not to cry, calm down. My friend hadn't used a tampon before and she was scared too. Secondly water doesn't affect your period, but clearly u shouldn't go swimming with your period because that's just like u taking a bath or shower with ur period. What you can do, which is best, is ask a close friend or sibling that used a tampon to explain how to use it to u, or give you tips. Its easier when people actually tell you how. Try not to be scared, use a tampon with a plastic inserter vs. paper one. Plastic is easier to insert and is pain free even if u miss. It takes practice though, so keep trying and you'll get it. # One thing to remember is to not be scared because you will be fine. :)

water does stop your period... most of the time. There are rare occasions when it doesnt. Using a tampon is really easy.I was scared at first too. When you're about to put it in just breath out so your muscles are relaxed and push. It'll go in but make sure its not sticking out at all. When taking it out do the same breating thing. You'll be alright!!

Do not be scared about using one, every young girl has to use one, but if you are too uncomfortable to wear one, then do not go to the pool, just tell them that you are not up to it, but if you got invited by a friend that is a girl, then just tell her and i know she will understand, but nothing can go wrong if you use one, just know that you don't have to use it if you are that uncomfortable, idk exactly how it works if you go swimming with a tampon, but i don't think that any blood will come out, just make sure that you bring a couple and change them every once in a while, because they need to be pretty new, and changed every few hours, just don't be scared, because there is nothing to be afraid of, and i know that nobody will even notice. and remember you don't HAVE to go if you aren't comfortable enough, your friends will understand, i hope this helps

Don't cry! Calm down! The water certainly stops the flow almost completely; just remember to change your tampon for a clean one every four hours; if your flow is usually too intense, change it every three hours. And then everything will be fine!
Have fun.

Don't be scared. Try to put the tampon in slowly. You need to use something before you go into the pool.
