The fact is that Libby was prosecuted following an investigation of an action that did not constitute a crime under our laws.
I know why they're ACTING upset -- typical liberal outrage just for the purpose of trying to make the President look bad.
Check out this list of pardons CLINTON made as an exiting
president:
http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pardonchartlst.htm
Drug dealing, tax evasion, conspiracy, perjury, fraud, possession, aiding & abetting, forgery, distribution of drugs, embezzlement, theft, lying to a grand jury ... the list goes on and on, at least 140 criminals, many instances and types of each crime.
I can't wait to see the phony hypocritical fuss the liberal politicians make over Bush's outgoing pardons.

They're not upset. They are acting upset.
This cannot compare to the full pardon Mr. Clinton gave to Mr. Rich(sp?), and the terrorist, who latter came back to haunt us.
Slick is lucky he was only caught lying about Monica under oath. This served as a distraction from China-gate, Cattle-gate, Travel-gate, Hillary-care, and all her illegally taxpayer funded meetings (she never even produced documentation on who attended); Then there was Vince Foster, missing Rose Law Firm documents, alleged stealing of taxpayer owned property from the White House.
They're trying to equate Libby's sentence commutation to the Clinton's activities, to even the playing field for Bill & Hillary's 3rd term.
But to fully answer your question, they don't care at all. If it means power they'll probably pull anything.

Why do some Republicans think that liberals and Democrats are the only ones upset about Libby? 75% of Americans oppose the Libby communion, so obviously it's more than just Democrats and liberals.
I am a Republican who is tired of corruption in both parties, and outraged to see yet another corrupt politican get off scot-free.

I don't get the outrage myself because we all knew that it was going to happen. I think that the media, the politicians, have had a while to "prepare" for this feigned outrage and they are just carrying it out.
This is nothing compared to the BS that the Bush Admin is responsible for, so I don't give a flying flip.

Being a libertarian, and a big fan of "a country of laws, not men", not respecting the judicial system, who convicted someone sends a terrible message.
I don't care who the president is.

Because that is what democrats and republicans do......complain about each other. Meanwhile, nothing ever gets done. We take one side or the other and join in the madness.
Time to vote independent.

Just more of the same old liberal double standard. They don't have to account for any of that. they have moral authority.
