Suicide among soldiers, along with alcoholism and PTSD are side effects of prolonged exposure in a combat zone.

I am sorry that others don't see the same connection that Army officials have been making for some months now, including the allocation of more money to treat the roughly 1/3 of soldiers who exhibit some form of clinical depression.

Bush and Cheney didn't force the person to commit suicide - The soldier was sick in the head, you can't put blame on anyone else but him. He chose to end his life.

Unfortunately, I am thinking they (our present & former leaders) are all messed up! I know no easy solution but we just cannot play by the "rules" anymore when no one else does & this is what gets our butts kicked. We start to do something & don't finish it. I think the United Nations stinks! They are all corrupt & it's time for the basic person to be able to be in the leadership seat. Someone with no connection to oil, or someone not looking to kick butt to make dad feel better. We do & will always need to stay steps ahead of the nut case terrorists & protect our land & people. The trade towers was an act of war so we did have the place to defend ourself. It was no longer "anticipation of self-defense"!

Not at all. Just as it is voluntary to join the military, the taking of one's own life is also voluntary. Nope, can't blame this on Bush, Cheney, Global Warming, anything, or anyone but the selfish individual searching for the easy way out.

In other words, the individual who committed suicide set up the circumstances for his own demise.

Um, that would be none and have you ever heard of English? It's a great language, it's the #1 language of America. You might want to study it before you embarrass yourself by using "do" instead of "due". How old are you 12?

If he had a conscience, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in. I doubt it bothers him more than the soldiers have to fight with inferior protection and technology. I doubt it bothers him they have extended tours and are away from their families for 15 months at a time. I doubt it bothers him they have to fight, again, when they get home, just to get benefits promised to them. I doubt he thinks he does anything he needs to be pardoned for.

Apparently Bush talks directly to GOD so he seems to be in good standing. Bush said that GOD wants him to be president and GOD wants him to fight this war so he's ok. It's quite similar to how Bin Laden and all the other extremists talk to Allah and Allah tells them it's ok to kill innocent people.
