There are key-fobs to hold a passport size photo.
You can use one of those as if it was a bead or charm, and use any string to make it into a necklace. Ask in your local hobby or craft shop or at a photo shop.
If you can get cheap guitar picks you can use them for beads too, (just a hole in each or two and use them flat) and keep them separated by beads.

I understand your sentiment, I have had a broken drumstick on the wall as long as I stayed living with my parents. I got it at a concert of my favorite band.

putting a hole in the guitar pick is the right thing to do :) also grab some solder and a guitar string and make your necklace out of that :)

you need to put a hole in it. I don't think there is any other way to make it into a necklace... you should probably buy some cheap guitar picks and practice on them so you don't mess up.

You could make a beaded bezel to hold the pick. Then you can attach the pendant to a chain or a beaded necklace. That would be a pretty solution.

Try taking it to a jewelry store that does repairs. They may be able to make a surround out of gold or silver that the pick would sit inside of and then they can attach a chain to the surround and you can wear it that way.

use hemp string or twine, and tie it around the pick. Go on all sides so it does not fall out, just wrap the heck out of it, you could add a jewel or something in the middle where the strings meet up. good luck!

find a small key chain that has a plastic picture attached to it. Take out the picture and insert the pick - no holes needed!

stick a pin threw it to make a small hole. find a small metal clasp-ish thing, stick it threw it, and put that on a chain.
