my friends laptop has gone on hibernation...they said they pressed the wrong button and it went into hibernation and they then pluged it into the av adapter but it wouldnt come back on..tried a few thing but no use..

its a dell xp laptop...plz help asap

It should come back on simply by pressing the power button (you may need to hold it in for a sec or 2). If that doesn't work, try removing the battery and unplugging your laptop, wait a minute and stick the battery back in and try again - i've had mine do this before, it just didn't wanna come back from hibernation so i took all the power away from it and then just plugged it back in- it seems to reset the comupter to it's normal state.

Hi. It should recover to where you left off by just rebooting. If not you may have to use 'Safe' mode. Tap F8 after turning on.
