Good grief people are you watching the same Dr Who as the rest of the world. The last episodes have been some of the best yet and the effects are fine better than some big films I could mention.
Yes its aimed at families but I know a few children and adults who have watched and been frightened by it.

Everyone is different and likes different things but there is no need to get so het up about it. As someone who grew up with the early days of Dr Who those certainly now make painful viewing but the ones now particularly written by Russell T Davies could hold up their own at the cinema.

Presume you will all be doing other things when Kylie Minogue appears in the Christmas special. Oh and by the way Torchwood fans they have made it a neccesity to watch both Dr Who and Torchwood now as they keep feeding peoples back stories in each. We got a few hints about Captain Jack this time and if you didnt see it a great shame!!

It's a terrible, terrible show, the fact that the BBC gives a show for six year olds a prime time slot on Saturday night and an advertising budget that dwarfs Bush's spending on the Iraq war is complete nonsense - saying that, every programme on Saturday night terrestrial TV is a nonsense, is it any wonder that everyone goes out and drinks?

I didn't want to like it, but unfortunately I do. DOn't know what it is about it as it is a bit pants, but it does inject a bit of fun into Saturday nights. I'd rather watch fiction than anything with Ant and Dec, competition or reality TV on my Saturdays

I agree with you. I watched some episodes and found it pretty tiresome. It would be fine on saturday mornings or 3pm but I don't think it's worth a prime time slot - it's a mediocre children's show at best. The quality of the programme is quite poor and the acting is appalling. I don't like it at all and I like other sci-fi programmes and films.

I don't like it either. I watched the last big finale after being badgered about how great it was, but it was just cack. I much prefer Torchwood, it's still as cheesy but at least there's lots of Captain Jack.

Bring back Tom Baker, I say. Or Peter Davison. Hell, Sylvester McCoy would do at a pinch.

Hasn't it always been a bit cr@p?

It's for children!!! They love it, watch some grown up TV and you might be more satisfied e.g. Big Brother, Joseph, Grease....

actually just save on your heating bill this month and torch the set
