You can only keep one per tank, and the black cap would be the more aggressive of the two (classified as semi-aggresive where the royal grama is peaceful).

Only two clowns per tank, and that's only if you have a mated pair that are the same species. The third would be harrased by the other to the point it will stop eating and die. The clowns and damsels may not get along (same body shape/same general family will make them territorial toward each other).

To keep all together as adult fish, you'll need at least a 70-90 gallon tank.

HI, I'm not a fish expert but I have had several of both of the fish you mention. I have found neither to be especially aggressive. I suppose that the royal gramma is the most docile of the two. I have never had more than one basslet in a tank but my tanks were at most 40 gals. I did have a 400 gal reef that had grammas in it from time to time with no aggression problems. I'm guessing here but I would think that with a lot of structure or weeds one basslet per 100 gals would be OK.

royal grammas are pretty docile. Any fish that is reef safe should be ok tohether in fish only tank. You can have more than one clownfish if you add them at the same time. A rule of thumb is one Angel per tank. if you are looking to have more than one of the same fish its nice to have the green chromis in a small group. when you start your tank the green chromis are good hardy fish that get the cycle going and will not bother other fish that you add in the future once the tank matures. If your into the dwarf angel fish you may want to look into other speies because if you find later that you like one better than the other you wont be able to add another one. Some really pretty ones are the rusty angels or coral beauties. hope this helped and good luck with the new tank.
