He didn't pardon him yet, he commuted jail time for a guy who took the fall for either Bush Or Cheney, as it was one of them who should be in jail, or at least impeached. Leaking a CIA operatives name by a president sends a message to them that no one is safe when your own president rats you out. George G.W. Bush called it treason, which is exactly what it is!

Bush's commutation of Libby's sentence buys his silence. Bet he is working for KBR within a few weeks!

Brendon "odds are they were caught with AK47's"? If your premise has any fact, and it doesn't as most were rounded up in sweeps, don't you think that they would have at least been charged with a crime by now(over 5 years)? Bush had 2 US Citizens sitting in a Military Brig for 3 1/2 years with no charges and no habeas corpus, under the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and the 11th Circuit made him release one!

He is holding US citizens by the military and not charging them. That violates the Constitution. But when did Bush ever care about that?

Of course not... He would wait for all of the Democrats to close down Gitmo and transfer them to the US. Then they would be entitled by the Dems to have the finest lawyers represent him. After a short trial Libby and all of the terrorists will be released with a 2 million dollar apology from the taxpayers (republicans) for all of their troubles. Then they would get a free first class ticket to wherever they wanted to go. So he would not pardon him.............The Dems would...

Bush didn't pardon Libby. He commuted his prison sentence. There's a big difference.

Scooter couldn't be sent to GITMO.
GITMO is for Terrorists and Democrats who support Terrorists.

Everyone thought Clinton was "cute", when he committed Perjury.
And when he Dodged the Draft and committed acts of Treason against the US in Britain, while living off the Taxpayers.
Cool!!!

Well, if he were in Gitmo, odds are he was caught with an AK-47 pointed at American troops in Afghanistan.

And since that didn't happen, there's no way he would go to Gitmo.

And if he were caught shooting at U.S. troops, well, obviously no way. But since going to Gitmo for perjury is just absurd... there is no answer to your question.
