Each woman and each labor and delivery are different but I'll tell you about my experience.
* Your water may or may not break before you go into labor and the amount of fluid that comes out is different for each person and can depend on how low the baby is in the birth canal. the dr. broke my water in the hospital but not a lot of fluid came out because my son was very low.
* When I lost my mucous plug it was a one time discharge that was very mucousy, slimy and slightly pink.
* Pain differs for everyone. My pain wasn't that bad at first but intensified as labor went on. It was still bearable but definitely painful. My sister-in-law however had horrible pain and got an epidural as soon as she could. It depends on how well you tolerate pain and if you can stay calm. The breathing exercises they teach in Lamaze, etc. were very helpful for me.
* I had a natural birth, so no I don't think you're out of your mind, lol. Just be sure to stay calm and breathe. And it definitely helps to have a coach to remind you to breathe in and out and count for you.
* Recovery isn't that bad just be sure you sleep when the baby sleeps, get lots of water, good food, and take your vitamins. Tears don't take that long to heal but the main thing is that you'll probably be sore. You use a lot more muscles than you'd think when you're trying to push that little one out.
* And about the size of the baby, if your doctor's not concerned then I wouldn't be either. Usually if the baby's gonna be too big to fit through they can tell in your exams and the ultrasounds.
Don't worry you're gonna be fine. Go natural if you can since that's what you want but don't beat yourself up if you need meds. In the end it won't matter how you did it, just that the baby's out and you can finally see him!!

hi iam crystal and have had 3children. you will know when your water brakes its like peeing without being able to controll it. sometimes it is a lot and others it is not becouse the baby is blocking the fluids. i did not have drugs when i gave birth. but the entire 9 mons i was getting myself ready for pain and pain control. i thought about the baby, little hands and toes, little kisses and hugs. and that the pain is only as bad as i thought it was going to be. but i also have big hips. my little sister just had her second baby and she is built very slinder. her first one she said was bad and she gat an eperdural that partly worked. her second one did not take as long or as in much pain. maybe you should think about a little pain killer to help sence it is your first and ur little.but it depends on your pain tolerance and how you look at things. if nothing gos wrong recover is quick. the hospitals are letting new mothers out after 24 hrs.after the baby is here you want care about the pain becouse it is worth it. it is normal to start freaking out the last couple of weeks. every thing will be fine. your body will do what it has to do and you will be under very experanced drs and nurses. woman have had children sence day one with out pain medicain so we have adapted if you will to this pain. we can take it. if it were up to men life would have stoped a long time ago, proven fact. good luck, and congrads. every thing will be ok.

You water breaking will be either a gush or a trickle either way it will continue to leak, so you will be soaking your panties often. Also only 10% of womens water breaks. Your mucus plug can be lost multiple times as it regenerates itself in about 2 weeks. I had a natual birth with my first and will have another with this one. (I fractured my tailbone at the age of 16 ) Its honestly not that bad, mediation helps and as long as you know how to manage pain and give yourself a focus point anythign is possible. After the birth its normal to feel overwhelmed , exahusted and every emotion you would ever imagine. It doesnt matter if you have a small frame or a large frame that doesnt meen your who-ha is to small for the baby.

You will know when your water breaks, it'll be a huge gush of water. unless its just leaking then its hard to tell. Your mucus plug is usually tinged with a little blood and snot like looking stuff. Pain alls depends on the woman, every woman is diff. with pain and labor. No your not out of your mind for having a natural birth i did it twice. you will probably tired afterwards and sore for a bit. its natural to be nervous this close to your due date but please calm down for you and your baby. dont worry bout his size, if he was too big for your body then the dr would have scheduled a c-section. Just calm down. Everything will be ok.

It is scary, I don't blame you for being anxious. However, all your natural instincts will kick in. You will just know if you water breaks, but don't count on that happening. You will be in some pain, but you can always ask for an epidural if it becomes too much. It is a nervous thing to go through, but you will do and it won't be as bad as you are imagining. Good Luck!

I learn Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. It even comprises the sporting events you ought to train. I additionally learn The Brewer Medical Diet for Normal and High-Risk Pregnancy. I adopted the Brewer vitamin whilst I used to be pregnant. I used the Bradley procedure with all 4 of my births. I additionally learn Husband Coached Childbirth, however that publication does no longer include what you ought to train to get competent for delivery.

my sister is petit and had 3 kids naturally. just relax and remember that holding your baby for the first time will make all of it worthwhile. if your water breaks, you'll know. it'll feel like you peed a whole lot in your pants. pain wise, it depends on your pain threshold. i had an eppidural with both of mine, but i was awake and remember everything
