Hey, don't pressure yourself or the baby because he/she isn't crawling yet. Baby's barely learned how to sit at 5 months.

All develop at different stages. I'm betting someone you know is bragging about how early their own baby started crawling, walking, etc. etc.

Whoopie do for them. Don't fall into the trap of competing your baby's developmental stage with others. (I can't stand those types of moms!) And I know you probably can't help feeling that your baby needs to catch up. But eventually, they all accomplish the same things.

You know how you can tell when your baby's gonna crawl? First he/she will start rolling around or even be like the three stooges and go in a circle like a clock. Then he/she will learn to be on their tummy and kick their feet and scooching a few inches. After this stage is when they'll start using their feet and bend their knees and learn that they can start to crawl.

Enjoy every step!! It's amazing how much they change day by day.

That's definitely not something you want to rush. Six months is a little early, some kids do it, but most don't at that age. If you push motor skills before the baby is ready, it can cause emotional problems and could cause problems with coordination in the future. Every child is different. Let her crawl when she's ready.

At six months he doesn't need to be crawling yet. Some babies go straight to walking without crawling. My nephew is 8 months old and he's rolling but not crawling. It's NORMAL.

Mine was actually crawling at 6 months so I hope my tips help. Have a colorful mat to put them on so they might start looking at the pictures and colours and stay on their tummy longer, get on your belly with them, prop their elbows up for them so they get the idea of being on their elbows( if it isnt on the elbows already) put them on the belly as much as you can even if its every hour, let them squirm and get upset it helps a lot- do it for about up to 8 minutes if they don't get too worked up, once they are starting to prop themselves up with the elbows, start propping their knees up into place, holding them there for a couple of seconds, once they start to shuffle forward or back, encourage them with toys and your voice. It takes a lot of time- I started at 5 months so therefore within a month she was crawling, now shes zooming up and down the furniture standing up and i'm hoping soon she'll walk. (she's 9 months old now) So good luck with the crawling.

Lol enjoy your baby and try not to rush things. Baby will crawl when baby is ready. I am a grandmother to eight and boy time flies by ! They grow so fast and you'll be wishing for these days again. Enjoy and take delight in everything your baby does in it's own time.

When the baby is ready to crawl, she'll start crawling don't stress her out trying to get her to do it earlier than her body is ready to start....

Just give him/her plenty of tummy time each day. They'll do it when their ready-- my son didn't crawl until he was 7 months old.

you can motivate her with toys but you won't get her to crawl unless she wants to and she's ready for it. Babies are stubborn you know, the more you pressure her the longer she will take.

As much tummy-time as you can give him without getting him to frustrated. Toys in front of him and lots of encouragement. Oh also, when he's on his tummy push one leg forward and he'll probably automatically push the second forward too, this is just practice though, it does not mean he will repeat it right after....but as the others said...give it time ;)

I'm sure it will start eventually on its own. Just put him/her down and set a great toy, pacifier, or a cookie in front of your baby. If that doesn't get him/her to start, I don't know what will!!
