Unless you have somewhere to go and can afford it, you are better off seeing if communications and negotiations can be made. You don't want to end up at some roach-coach inn or be stuck with a bunch of no-load roomates.
Age is not always the question as affordability. Be wise with your finances. See if you can smooth things out at home (even if you have to get a third party to ref or counsel) and then give yourself a timeline with reasonable goals to achieve over the time-period so you will have enough money to be out on your own.
Things may not be rosy at home right now, but you have a roof over your head and a pillow you can call your own.

well remember dat if u plan on movin out in order to b able to sign a contract wit an apartment complex u have to be 18 but in essence i live in TX i coulda left when i graduated & i'm 17 =]]

depends on the state... In texas it is 17... there are a few like that. Call your local pd and ask them, they will tell yo...
I moved out when I was 17.

In most states, it is 18 unless you have been legally emancipated. Doesn't matter if you've graduated from high school or not.
