It could have been just an admirer or friend or a bill collector or someone just curious. If there was no other calls or incident, it would not be a big deal to me.

If I was you I would call her back and as what the problem is because you're husband must be cheating on you with the girl that called your house obviously something is going on behind your back and you need to get to the bottom of it. Hire a private investigator do a background check on him there might be something about him you don't know. I'm not taking up for him but maybe he has a long lost daughter you don't know about or maybe he's just plain cheating on you. Check for the signs come home late, calls and says he's working late check his cell phone record, and the most important if he comes home and goes straight to the shower then something is going on with him and the girl that called your house. I know this is kinda alot coming from a fourteen year old but I know alot of things. So if it helps let me know.

Since bill collectors usually don't call in the evening and she asked for the husband specifically by name, then it was someone the husband personally knew.....since she immediately hung up, she did not anticipate a woman answering, and thus concluding that the man she asked for was unknowingly married and wanted nothing more to do with him since she never called again.....whether the husband gave her the number or she acquired it from another source remains an unsolved mystery, and since it's been over a year since it transpired, it's pretty much okay to label this one "case closed".....straight up sentiments, and blessings to you.....

It could mean he's cheating. Or it could mean absolutely nothing at all (some telemarkers do this nowadays, to sound more chummy when you pick up and less like a telemarketer). To avoid losing trust, I'd most definately assume this is nothing unless there's a much better reason to assume otherwise.

It probably was someone that was interested in her husband but didn't know he was married. If there was no more calls from this girl then she means nothing. Now if it was someone that he was having an affair with, I'm sure she would have continued to call to harass her.

It could mean a number of things, you just never know, he could of been cheating, if could of been a telemarketer, it could of been anything, sounds to me like if this is bugging your friend still to this day she should talk to her hubby about this....if it hasn't happened again let it go...forget about it, sounds like it was some telemarketer, thats' normally what they do, ask for some one you say there not home and you say who is this and they hang up...

It could mean one of two things. A girl was messing with "your friend" or the husband was cheating. One may never know....

Sounds like you got a call from a woman who didn't expect a woman to answer the phone.

So why bring it up now? If she would have gotten another call than that would have been the time to do something about it.
