Alot of buildings do have a 13th floor. For those that don't its because the number 13 is considered to be so unlucky. Superstitious people don't want to stay in the 13th floor of a hotel. Also some hospitals don't have a number 13 operating room. It's to keep the patients from feeling unnecessary anxiety.

uhh, there is. At least I hope so. I must have gone to work at the wrong place this morning if not.

I might point out you can skip 13...but it still will be the 13th floor. Call it what you might.

People are superstitious. They say bad thigs happen on all 13th things. Did you know that all months could be even if there were 13 but people were too superstitious.

I would like to know that answer myself. It's not that unlucky of a number, but somehow they just skip to the 14th floor, and the elevator door , hopefully, opens.

There is, even if the building skips that number.

However, it's not as common as it used to be since fewer people are as superstitious now.
