Why do people try to chastise your if you don't want kids?

I don't want kids. I'm 16 years old and i'm trying to get my tubes tied as soon as possible. I don't like kids, it's too much.It's expensive also. Can't be a mother because I don't spend money on anyone else but me. I'm sorry I'm selfish and I'm like it that way. And plus men these days don't like women with kids and they would leave a woman ASAP if they found out she was preganat. Men are so quick to say" It's not mine" I'm sorry I don't want any strecth marks, gray hair, saggy breasts, or extra weight.I want to look young forever. I think anyone who choose to be a mother is very brave and kind.

I don't want kids and everyone in my life seems to be okay with that. My doctor wouldn't do the Tubaligation on me until I went through some therapy and a one year waiting period, but otherwise, people don't really seem to care that I don't want kids. I am not that young and I will never change my mind about that. I absolutely hate being around kids and I can't stand teenagers so I have no business raising kids. I think it's better to realize that about yourself before having a kid and ruining their life.

There are so many breeders out there giving birth to kids and then getting divorces and ruining their kids with their selfish behavior. I think that is so much worse than realizing you don't want kids. There are so many kids out there that are abused and unwanted. Why the heck would a person voluntarily bring a child into a situation where they aren't wanted. That is more selfish than anything else. Most people who are having children have no business having them in the first place, so if you do change your mind later on, make sure you are ready for the responsibility and not just bringing another screwed up person into the world to make this an even worse place.

Stretch marks, grey hair and saggy breasts will find you no matter if you have a good reason for it or not. Believe me! You will never look young forever.

But of course, anyone who does not want children and is brave enough to admit it and does not have any anyways is on the right way.

It's assumed you're selfish and don't want to take on the "greatest responsiblity" in life, bc you want to do your own thing. While there may be an element of truth to this, it really shouldn't matter as long as you spend your life doing something productive, something that makes your life and the lives of others better. This goes for all people, with kids or without. Some people simply aren't meant to have children, and that's fine. There are already enough people in this world as it is. I wish more people would adopt instead of having 10 of their own.

I don't think you are being selfish at all; you'd be selfish if you chose to have kids and then didn't take care of them!

Motherhood isn't for everyone. I didn't want to be a mother to humans, either. I prefer animals myself.

Too right raising a child to adulthood is expensive.

I know what you mean! I don't want to have kids either. I just never liked the idea of giving birth and having a kid, cause i'm so independent. I don't really care for people in general, either.

Hey, children aren't for everyone...You have to make decisions that are best for you...

Oh, and not having children won't stop you from getting gray hair, saggy breasts, or gaining extra weight...those things can come regardless...it's called aging...lol

*Edit* Lol..you can do things in attempts to "cover up" the SIGNS of aging, but they don't stop aging....and sooner or later, it'll show regardless...lol...Look at Joan Rivers, she's had 80,000 surgeries, but she still looks old....time ALWAYS catches up, hun..lol

you are right...being a mother requires a lot...I'm the complete opposite though...when i become a well off doctor...I'll try to adopt at least 2 kids and have some of my own...i know adoption is expensive etc, but i wanna help kids that wouldn't have a chance in life because of poverty...i hope to adopt more than two though...i love kids and when i see orphans without a home i wanna cry...people may say it's crazy but whatever, i don't know what's so crazy about wanting to help...but good luck to you, i know you'd never harm a child...just prefer not to have one..
