I think right now Prince Fielder is the NL MVP and it really is not all that close. 27 HR leads the NL 66 RBI is 2nd in the NL.

Others in the Running
Carlos Lee 16 HR, 70 RBI, .298 BA
Matt Holliday 14 HR, 65 RBI, .347 BA

I give the edge to Fielder only because he plays on the best team in the NL

The right answer has already been said. I'm only answering because i want to make a couple comments to the other answerers..........Beltran????lol My ten year old could step into the mets lineup in beltrans spot and put up better numbers. He has reyes in front of him on base all the time, he got delgado and others behind him to protect him and bat him in, yet he got that whopping 270 avg. with below avg. runs scored and rbi's. How this clown get on all star team??? He isnt top three out fielders in n.y. little own in the whole n.l. Having said this leads into my next person that wont win. Barry Bonds has been the mvp every full year he has played the game and just doesnt win because he is toooo good. He leads the league in on base percentage every year because he has no protection in the giant lineup so everyone just walks him. But, he is so good you could put him in beltrans spot in the n.y. met line up and they still walk him. You can put fielder or pujols behind him and they still walk him. He changes the game more than any player in our lifetime and is mvp every year, just cant win it cuz he cant get the homers or the rbi's being walked every plate apperance and getting one or two ab's a game. So haveing said that the winner is Prince Fielder hands down!!!!

I'm going to say that Prince Fielder is the NL MVP so far this year.

I would say the nl mvp is either Prince Fielder or Chase Utley.

Prince would win it.
He'd beat out Reyes of the mets, Martin of the Dodgers and Utley of the Phillies.

I think Chris Young would get some votes as well...havin just an incredible year, and not even an all-star.

Prince Fielder now, but before the end of the year,
I believe it'll be either Jose Reyes or Carlos Beltran.
The Mets are going to "light it up" in the second half.

Its gonna have to be Fielder or Peavy. There is no way BOnds will get MVP, breaking the record should have no reason for him being an MVP canidate

right now judging by the stats (at how baseball always has been) I would say Prince Fielder first in the NL in HR second in RBIs and leading his leading his team to a division title.
