My friend is 16 and her boyfriend is 18. Could he get locked up??

Maybe. That depends on the judge trying the case and how ticked off your friend's dad is. Unless the laws have changed recently, here's how it goes:
ANYONE having sex with someone under 16, no matter what thier age, is guilty of rape.
16 is the legal age of consent, however if that person is more than 2 years older than the 16 year-old they can be found guilty of statutory rape and/or rape.
Make sure your friend and the boyfriend understand this because he could get jail time. It's a fine line.

16 for it not to be considered rape if under consent..
My boyfriend and I got in trouble for this when we found out. His uncle is a police and told us this, but the officer who got us told us it was 17.. So I am not sure, but I am sticking to 16
