I would say they can look a lot alike without having to have the same hair length.. you need to let them individuals as much as they are twins.

I am a twin myself and have always found it kind of weird that people automatically believe that you have to be matching in order to be twins. Sure, it's cute when they are young, and since they are a boy and girl they won't be wearing the exact same thing for the rest of their lives. How about short hair for both...that would be cute. It's just kinda of annoying when people who have same sex twins dress them up the same. Anyway, good luck and congrats on your twins!! =)

Uhhh, no.
Your son is a boy and should be dressed as a boy, and your daughter is a girl and should be dressed as a girl. When they are babies, they will look very similar- if you want to dress them in matching outfits, go for coordinating colors and fabrics...but not the same outfit. As they get older, do the same...coordinating outfits, color themes, but obviously not the same clothes.
Besides, having 2 babies of the same age is enough to alert people that they are twins--a well dressed baby girl and baby boy are much cuter and more of a brag opportunity than having to explain again (and again and again) that this "one is a girl and this one is a boy and yes they are twins"....
When they are 2 or 3, for Halloween, dress them as Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy...too cute!

i have 10 year old boy/girl twins. when they were infants they would wear some of the same thing, same sweatsuits, same onesies etc. they would get matching outfits. there was no way to make mine look alike,, my son was VERY blonde almost bald, couldnt see his eyelashes, eye brows, and my daughter was dark hair darker complexion. my son didnt get his first hair cut till he was 4, he had beautiful long blonde curly hair. it took him so long to grow hair i just couldnt cut it. be prepared for people to assume he is a girl if you let him have long hair. there are many ways to make them look cute. why do you want your boy/girl twins look like matching? as they grow and get older they will develop their own personalities and likes/dislikes. make sure you let them have a say it in sometimes. with twins it is best to pick your battles,,,fight over the important things , dont sweat the small stuff.

Well, they wont have mush hair when their born. They can still match without having the same haircut. Who know, they might not even look alike (I know many twins who don't even look related) Dress them in similar outfit when they are little and that will be matching enough. And when the time comes let them choose how they want their hair cut.

Do what you want just keep in mind that when they get older they will have their own style as individuals. And I would go with long hair because if your boy chooses he can cut it off and we both know that it takes a long time to grow your hair out.

That would be so adorabe! The girl twin could have choppy shoulder length hair and the boy twin could have a more refined cut.
Congratulations!

Let them be individuals. I have talked to several sets of adult twins and asked them for advice. The main thing they said is to let them have their own identity and don't match them like they are an extension of each other.

They are a boy and a girl. Why would you 'match' them? Just put them in similar colored clothing, I guess. Most babies have no hair for well over a year.

since they are not the same sex, I'd say the hair should match the gender- longer for a girl, shorter for a boy...... but perhaps you could have coordinating outfits (not identical), with a "theme" like saior suit for him, little nautical dress for her, or red sneakers, or matching hats. I'm not crazy about similar sounding names, but whatever makes YOU happy, good luck.
