Why doesn't the lamestream media report this?
Oh yea, they only go for the gloom & doom.

They ran out of people to kill. A full 250,000 went to Lebanon, as many went to Syria and Iran. The real story is the torture camps in Kurdish controlled Iraq. How many Iraqis are held there GOD only knows.. When Iraq surrendered after Desert Storm they had no planes, no tanks and no ships, half the Army had deserted. BTW, your numbers are wrong. That is just in the green Zone around Baghdad not the Country of Iraq..

Good news from Iraq. Does Hitlary know about this? I'm sure she'll claim that now she is responsible for this good fortune. She has flip-flopped in her support for the war a dozen times depending on which way the wind is blowing.
You can bet that if the war ended tomorrow and everything was roses that she would be claiming responsibility.

The American public \ media care little about the civilian death toll of Iraqi's. That is unless the American soldiers kill them erroneously or as part of collateral damage in fighting the insurgents.
You should know by now that good news out of Iraq is not worthy of the press' attention.

One must wonder with the numbers of civilians still dying, why it wasn't more of an issue for this administration until it went down... Now it matters... then it was just collateral damage.
When the surge ends- higher civilian loss, lower troop loss. It is the way of war.

My immediate thought is, whatever the civilian death rate in Baghdad, it is at least 90% less than when Saddam was ruling them.

That's good. Death is a bad thing, especially when people are being brutally murdered. Let's hope the trend continues.

Glad to see you recognize the good results, thought it would take much longer. For centuries in just Iraq; one brothers son would marry another brother's daughter, this was arranged at their birth. I thought it would take a few generations to see this society be able to stand up for themselves.

Come on now! That headline does not contribute to the "all is lost, we must pull out" agenda! What is truth and what is propaganda is so hard to decipher. I don't think the majority of the public have any idea what is really going on and whether or not it is positive (myself included!).

I think that's great news. Anyone care to speculate why that fact isn't making headlines in the main stream press?
