I have an 850 gallon pond. It has 3 waterfalls, a small pond, a stream, and a larger pond at the bottom. I have been having to add about 60 gallons every few days just to keep it at operating level. I know that there's some degree of evaporation and the waterfalls are adding to that a lot, but I'm not sure if this amount of water loss is "normal" or "excessive."

Note: Weather lately has been in the upper 70's.

You've got a leak somewhere - check to be sure your waterfalls aren't splashing water outside of the stream area, check all your hoses and fittings, then lastly one of your liners might have a tear or a seam might be leaking.

I have an 800-gallon pond with 1 waterfall. I would call this amount of loss excessive. You did not mention whether you have a preformed or flexible liner for your pond, and whether you used a liner for your stream; I am assuming your stream is lined.
My suggestions are:
1. A punctured liner. This may be difficult to detect, as your watercourse is so long. Obviously, the thicker the liner, the more expensive, but the longer it will last.
2. Loosened tubing where your tube connects to your waterfall. This is the easiest to detect and fix. A neighbor was having a 30-gallon-a-day loss with her small pond and we found her tubing had loosened.

I hope I've been helpful. Your water feature sounds beautiful. I am having waterfeature envy!

That loss rate sounds a little high, but you have a lot going on, so maybe not.

I have a 1500 gallon pond with just one good sized waterfall. I lose about 2 inches a week from evaporation in normal weather, 3 if it gets hot.

well other than a leak..... it could also be that the waterfalls and fountains are spitting water outside the pond make sure no water from those sources are escaping.. i have a very small pond maybe 50 gallons but when my fountain isnt placed right it looses all water.....try that see if it helps♥

i have a 2000 gal pond with a large water fall, and yes you do loose alot of water from evaporation. right now the temp is in the 90's and i replace about 60gal or more every other day.

Hate to tell you, but that would be called excessive. Upper 70's isn't going to cause that much evaporation. Sounds like you've got a leak.
