It's the men. I think both men and women get scared, but the women are usually willing to ride it out and see where it goes. The men on the other hand, run like hell . . .lol.
I was engaged to a guy, and in the midst of planning our wedding he broke up with me. Later he wanted back in. He explained that he broke up with me because he got scared and thought we could just pick up where we left off. But I couldn't get over the fear that he just might do that again. So we never got back together and I eventually married someone else . . .

I think both sexes. It seems like men do, but, I for one pull away as things get serious and I'm a woman...I've also had other women friends who are just like me. So, I really think it's probably about equal.
