ok heres the story... they were always close to each other! they were nest to eaach other on the shelf at the store i bouight them at, there fish bowls have always been right next to each other... and the female is noticably plumper from every view and there are bubbles on the sides of both there bowls... do they want to mate??? (yes im very sure i have a female and a male)

Yes, they do want to mate, but don't do it.

First, it's betta, not beta

Second, you really need to plan what you will do if they mate. How will you feed the fry and how will you raise several hundred of them?

Do some research BEFORE you put them together.

If they show interest in mating not only do they make the bubble nest but the female has these dark lines on the side of her abdomen. That's usually an indication. Good Luck if you try to breed them, maybe you won't fail like I did.
