I half want to phone an ex teacher who I looked up to as a 2nd mother...but I am scared stiff of rejection. She probably wouldn't be too pleased at me finding her house tel number (she left the school).

I have tried emailing but she never responds, so I am scared she will hang up on me...but part of me needs to contact her as I haven't been able to let go.

What to do?

if you decide to call her, be ready for rejection. this is the risk that you have to take if you really feel that you have to talk to her. just let her know that you look up to her as a second mother and that would probably make her happy. you never know if she cares for you as a person if you will not try but be ready for the consequences. if there's no need to talk to her, just don't bother her. good luck!

On a scale from a million to 10, 10 being the ultimate and one being the worst at risking rejection. we could basically say i'm a a million. If she is not returning your e-mail, then she will likley be not too happy that you are calling her. Try talking to a therapist about why you feel so compelled to contact her.

Try writing a letter.
