What is something that the potential buyer can see when looking through the house that will make it more likely for them to want the house? Such as small little details. Not big dramatic changes. thanks

'The main thing is to remove clutter.

Also you should depersonalize the house...like remove family pictures etc. and replace with generic pictures like flowers, landscapes etc. They want to picture themselves in the house...make it more of a house and less of your home.

You've done two good things. Now go through and do another purge of "stuff". Also, put away all personal pictures, etc. You want a spacious feel and nothing that says "this is mine" as you want the potential buyer to be thinking that. Pie suggestion is nice, but a scented candle will work as well and isn't messy. When a buyer visits, turn on every light in the house and if you have ceiling fans, turn them on as well. If you haven't asked your realtor this question you should.

Clean...Clean, clean clean: Under the fridge, the oven and range. However old an appliance or kitchen utensil is, if it's clean the age is somewhat overlooked.
Don't worry about painting but, fixing holes, scrapes and bad bruises is a must. Make things look like you cared.
Clean the windows, the carpet, don't leave garbage around and, the refuse can full.
Make sure the tub doesn't have any grease marks around the tub or sink.
Make sure everything smells good.

This well help sell a house right away.

Paint, I think they tend to look at the kitchen, bathrooms, I had a guy check out the garage. I had cut up an apple, put cinnamon, brown sugar, and sugar in a pan and baked it before a showing. Yeah it works, they walked in and said "mmmm that smells good!" Sold the house after 2 weeks on the market. I had fresh paint, new carpet, newer linoleum in the kitchen (was there before I moved in), nice curtains in the master bedroom, nice verticals (there before I moved in). Yard mowed and some landscaping. Clean no clutter.

Don't forget lots of light! Turn all of the lights on, and clean your windows. Pull blinds/shades away from windows.
