No.

It's described as "auburn", but JK Rowling has stated that Lily has no relations in the wizarding world (also rules out Dumbledore, who had auburn hair in his youth.)

i was just reading through some of the answers and someone commented on harry's mother not having relations in the wizarding world but harrys father did what if james and mr or mrs weasley are somehow distant relations it still means that harry and ginny can be together but personally i dont think that their is a connection i also love the ron is dumbledore theory but now that dumbledore has been killed doesnt that mean that ron would have died as well considering they are the same person and we find out in prisoner of azkhaban that you cant afford to be seen by yourself when using the time turner as it can have disastrous results

There are a lot of people with red hair, and I don't think there is too much in terms of them being related:

The Weasleys
Lily
Dumbledore
Godric Gryffindor (from the card on JKR's site)
Helga Hufflepuff (from the card on JKR's site)

These are all redheads (or were before their hair got white) but I don't think significant matches can be made between them through blood.

My favorite redhead-relations theory is that Dumbledore is really Ron, when Ron gets older, he uses a time-turner to watch over himself and Harry and Hermione. Ron DID get an odd watch that's exactly the same as Dumbledore's during Half-Blood Prince :)

Perhaps. I, personally, don't think that there is a connection, but it is a nice thought, especially if Harry ends up marrying Ginny. It would be like James marrying Lily. Both James and Harry practically look the same, and Ginny and Lily both are redheads. :)

I don't think their is because Harry's moms' hair was described as "auburn" and Ginny's as "flaming red". If their was a connection dont you think JKR would have described them the same way? This is only my opinion though...

That's been debated for several years now on numerous fan sites. I think the general consensus is that there's no connection, but it's an interesting idea.

I think that is why harry likes ginny, because she has a big resemblance to his mother.

i agree with Rachel, a lot of people have red hair, if they were related why would J.K hook up harry with ginny?!
