Continue to love them both and avoid the he said she said stuff that is so prevalent in divorces. Explain to both of your parents that if they choose to be nasty to each other, that is fine but you want no part of it and do not want to hear any of it.
Good luck, it is tough but you can make it.

I'm so sorry sweetie...divorce is hard on everybody, but if this is what they decide, then there isn't anything that you can do. Even though you love them both, this may be the best thing for them to do for themselves and this doesn't have to put a strain on the relationship that you have with each of them. Just try to be supportive of each parent...without taking sides, not to say that your parents will ask you to choose, but just try to stay neutral, divorce can be difficult and very emotional. Sometimes people say and do things that they wouldn't normally say and do, but just realize that your parents are both human beings in a very painful situation, and just try to be there for them...that's really all you can do.

I am sorry to hear that your parents are going through a divorce. And you should love them both. This may not be an easy road for you but remember that they love you and their divorce is not a result of ANYTHING you have said or done. If you feel confused (which will probably happen), ask your mom or dad to let you speak with a counselor.

It's really nothing you can do. Alot of times parents stay together just for the children's sake. This can be a big mistake because you see it's nothing like seeing a couple only together only for convenience not for the love they have for each other. Just try and understand that sometimes things just don't work out. Don't ever think it is your fault though.

Just because your parents are getting a divorce doesn't mean that they both don't love you anymore. It just means that they are drifting apart. Their love is not as strong as it once was. It is better that they end their marriage now than to continue on, and lie to you. You would realize their sadness as a couple.

It's hard, but it could be that it's for the best. Just know that they're not splitting up because of you. They still love you very much. If you need to talk to someone, talk to an adult relative or friend. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone listen to you.
Hang in there.

You need to be there for both of them. Don't be angry. They have their reasons and you can't change that. You might want to consider speaking with a counselor. Try to understand both sides and just continue to love them like you have been. You will be fine. :o)
