Was it a good choice or a bad one?

Surly. Many as a matter of fact. And quite a few left and right turns too.
Whether they were good choices, I will never know for sure. One can never know where the road not taken would have gone.
There could have been some, to continue the metaphor, many side roads I missed. Perhaps because my focus was straight ahead, or I may have been looking behind me at that important turn off.
I suppose my point is that there is no way of knowing if one makes the "right" choice at any given time.
All any of us can do is make the most appropriate, and best choice at the time.
Could be a U turn or stay flat-out straight ahead.
None of us, none of us, will ever know for sure.

Have always taken "u-turns" in life and travelled some interesting roads...i don't believe the roads we take to be either good or bad...they're just there for the learning and experience...

I grew up always wanting to work as a police officer, but sadly that hasn't worked out.
When I was off work, an oppportunity arose to study British Sign Language at college, which I did, (last lesson & exam today), thoroughly enjoyed and have now decided to train to work as an interpreter.
That's quite a U-turn I think!

I will take U-turns as often as necessary. Most of the time they turn out well.
I am not afraid of course corrections, and in fact, find that they are a necessity from time to time.

Yes many times. The last one was I was going to go to college and start a new direction, but i gave that up for a family. I'm not rich now but i am very happy because i have god in my life.

I moved in with a boyfriend and then U-TURNED it the heck outta there......... BIG MISTAKE, I don't regret having to u-turn. Made me realize that I need to think LONG and hard before I move in with ANYONE else (not just boyfriends)....... I think I want to BUY my own home before I ever have to live with roommates ever again.

I did, having moved back 'home' from spending 11 years in Las Vegas. And yes, it was a great decision. â¥
