Potassium Iodine pills won't really save you in a nuclear attack... they can help to prevent ingested radioactive material from settling in your thyroid... but your immediate concern in the event of a nuclear attack would be to get to a fallout shelter to reduce the amount of gamma radiation recieved from the fallout (that is assuming you survived the blast, and are not killed by fires, that is)...

If you are that concerned though, just go to the store (any supermarket should do), and buy some Iodine supplements. They are cheap, and are the same potassium iodine you're looking for. Do not attempt to get the iodine by ingesting iodized salt... the volume of salt required to prevent uptake of radioactive iodine is enough to kill you.

I would suggest that you take other preperations before worrying about iodine pills... take a look at this site for further information... http://www.ki4u.com/free_book/index.htm

If someone launches a nuclear attack against the US. A Few pills are not going to make much difference in the aftermath of the retaliation. The lucky ones will die in the initial attack.

No, because not everyone is at risk for radiation sickness and the panic it would cause could do more harm than the actual attack. If you are that concerned in regards to radiation exposure you can buy the pills yourself. They range from $5-$10 for pack.

Whoa you have it all wrong...the massive attack planned for this summer is going to come in film form.

We will never recover from the shitty sequels soon to be released in Rambo 4, Indiana Jones 4, and terminator 4. Not to mention Live free or Die Hard

I am scarred for my children's children's children after the release of those.

God save us all.

They don't have the money for that. You gotta remember that they spend millions, tens of millions, of dollars for reports that most of us could come up with by common sense.

Those pills are like "duck and cover" they may make you feel better but they won't really do a thing.
