At two gas stations I checked, the nozzle on the Diesel pump is larger than the gas nozzle. The Diesel nozzle was too large to fit in a regular gas-only tank opening.

This would prevent someone from accidentally filling thier gas tank with diesel fuel.

So... does the state of GEORGIA *require* this at all gas stations?

Followup: I'm looking for the citation to the rule that requires it.

I accidentally put Diesel fuel in my car at a gas station with the same size Diesel and Gas nozzles. If they've broken a rule, then they should be liable for the repairs to my car. (Yes, there was damage to my car).

It is and should be required for all states including Georgia. And yes it is so people do not by mistake put diesel in a gas only vehicle. And in most states they should have a different colored handle.

I think it is more of a national thing. All gas stations are like that. For the reasons that you stated in your question. good luck.
