I think the foreign policy plays a great role in recruiting those despaired people, who lost their homes, lands, dads, mothers & other relatives in orgenized terror of Israel & in Afganistan & Iraq daily.
* Those people has no equivellant force (Plane fighters or tanks ) to defend them selves, their leaders are betraying them, so every one of them (people) try to get his revenge in his own way.
** Why don't the powerful countries leaders try to be fair & not biased policy for once, I think that will reduce those type of despaired people to commit their actions!!!
* People who were suffering under the dictator Saddam are now missing him, as their life now completely ruined & every one of them has the chance to die every day.
* In Afganistan, people were restricted under the Taliban But they don,t die in 10s daily by the western forces!!
PLS BE REALISTIC & PUT UR SELF IN THOSE PEOPLE PLACE WHEN THINKING ABOUT THE PROBLEM!!

I agree, however, as this has been going on for some extended period of time, I feel that many don't even recall what it is they are so angry about, and due to the severity of their feelings, they have a warped view of the world. It is a huge mess to clean up, and if I had the answers, i would surely tell you and everyone else, but it is simply too big of a problem for a few individuals to handle. It will take entire nations to fix this mess. G-d bless them!

It is a case that some people like to be oppressed by a dictator and this has always been the case in the Middle and far east. In many cases British colonial system was the best thing that happended to them in spite of its many faults. Blair and Bush in their idealistic way forgot this in the case of Iraq and disbanded the only means of keeping order as a result poor squdies and their US conterparts are pauying the price. In Afganistan the whole object of the operation was to get hold of Osama Bin Laden, They have failed thanks to hidaways financed by the CIA. Thre Russians must be laughing their bo-----s off. Historically Afganistan is uncontroolable. Thought -- is US holding OBL and keeping quiet about it? It does not matter what is done some Mosques will always find an excuse to justify murder from the Koran, iT's just that the means are easier now then they have ever been because of electrical equipment.

I'm not going to be as wordy as you, but the cause of terrorism is religion. The Muslims simply want all other religions to disappear so they can rule the world. This did not start when we entered Iraq. Terrorism had started years ago Remember The Cole bombing in 2000? The Twin Towers? You can not deal with the cause of terrorism when Muslim leaders say in public that they want us(meaning everyone except Muslims) dead. You asked a question and then went on to change the topic. I choose to answer the main question because the rest is your opinion on invasion, not the cause of terrorism.

I think in handling any problem, addressing the causes as opposed to simply lessening the symptoms is the only real remedy.
However, where terrorism is concerned, the causes are more complex than foreign policy alone. I think foreign policy has only aggravated a deeper, human issue: the desire to overpower, subjugate, and kill others.
History is full of examples of groups of people terrorizing one another for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, fear, desire to acquire power, cultural differences, etc. Too often, these groups who elect to terrorize others hijack ideology - usually religious - and misinterpret it for the sake of propaganda.
As for the subsequent questions you pose, I'm not sure they can be answered concretely. Fortunately, Yahoo Answers gives us plenty of room to speculate.
I personally believe there will be no perfect society, no lasting, uninterrupted peace until you can address the quiet warring desires occupying the hearts of mankind. I don't mean that to sound as hopeless as it seems. We have a chance. We just need to improve our track record of working together.

I agree that the plight of those human beings is terrible, and it might make an excellent distinction if policies have been replaced so as that they have been all greater suitable off. in spite of the fact that, it is purely not the way that realpolitik works. regrettably, all political movements are based on the belief of shortage, which says "I gotta make advantageous i'm getting all i choose, meaning you won't be in a position to have all you opt for." it fairly relies on the belief of constrained supplies -- a "0 sum game." this means that root motives won't probably be addressed, through fact it rather is greater suitable politically (for the "international powers") if the midsection East maintains to be volatile. the only thank you to alter it is to alter the perspective of the international powers. it is likewise greater suitable for inner politics (interior a rustic) to handle the indications rather of the reason. this enables governments to grow to be greater aggressive and totalitarian (through fact their human beings choose for to be saved "risk-free"), without risking the prospect that the difficulty will ever unquestionably pass away and thereby undermine the will for totalitarianism. on account that governments all would desire to justify their very own skill, it helps while the ruled have faith they choose the government for some thing.

yes! I agree, however majority think that Muslim hate Western culture and want to impose their value system i.e. keeping women in purdah and treating them as inferiors, no freedom of choice, shariah law etc,etc therefore these people should be suppressed and foreign policy should not be change, see
"Joan Smith: The evidence indicates that political Islam hates our way of life, not our foreign policy. We have to stand up for our values, which means this time we are in for the long haul.Published: 04 July 2007 ". May Allah help all muslims.

There is a great gap of understanding between these countries and the west. We see things so differently. We are so used to democracy in the west we cannot imagine living without it, and feel we have to 'give' it to the world. Unfortunately, democracy has to devolop from within the country...from it's own people and this takes time.

Where have you been. One of the causes of terrorism was Saddam Hussein and he has been removed. Another cause was Bin Laden and how the fcuk are they going to find him when he's everywhere. They can't solve the problem of terrorism as it can happen anywhere. It's like trying to catch a single drop of rain but planing ahead on which one you will catch!!! - MM

Yes absolutely:
Sadly though... bringing Bush and Blaire to trial for an illegal invasion on another country like Iraq is unlikely to happen yet... but maybe... one day hopefully!
They are are the cause... and effect... and their trial... would be retribution in the eyes of/and maybe make a difference to... those caught up in seeking revenge against the west.
