If your objections had some type of validity, you might stand a chance in swaying some of the undersides votes. But you continue to come up with irational and bigeted statements that the fair, smart and reasonable people will see right through. I'm glad your're doing it because with the number of people in this race the vote will be split and he'll win the nomination. So thank you.

Yes. They'll unwittingly give us a great leader, instead of a disaster like Bush, like they want.

They actually think they are accomplishing something trying to get people to think he's a Muslim!

Oh, to the previous psoter, who ISN'T a flaming socialist to your thinking?

I am from Illinois and Obama has done absolutely nothing for us! He couldn't even finish 1 single term for our state. While in the Illinois General Assembly, he proposed no laws that helped anybody but him and he also has ties to the current corrupt governor Blagoevich. We Illinoisans have a long history of corrupt governors.

Basically, I can't believe anything he says, because he has never followed through on anything. I mean really people, senators make lousy presidents. And, when was the last time a senator became president? Nixon and Bush were both senators first, but became president only after being a VP. Obama has no real leadership experience. What happens then is he will surround himself with what he thinks are smart advisers who in turn use Obama because he doesn't know any better!

I believe that those who think Obama is a great candidate are fixated on his good looks. He does speak well, too. Too bad for him it can't hide the fact that he is not presidential material.

His race is not an issue with me. However his stance on immigration is. He voted for the immigration bill and that is a big issue to me. As to swaying opinions I would hope anyone would just ignore the bigots and to not validate them with a response. What worries me most is the statements being made that he is a good speaker and charismatic. While those are good qualities they are not the only ones people should be talking about. He tends to avoid giving direct answers to controversial questions. Listen to what he says not how he says it.

were is it that he said that he wanted to get rid of the guns that you use to hunt and all give me a link or something. you guys are just like the bigots of this nation when you say something like that with no proof. screw the NRA. i am only looking out for what I see as the best candidate no matter what you type. all this is spin. look at what he says and does, how he votes liberal. right down the lines he even disclosed his earmarks to CNN what else do you want from him, and the rep. front runner has no experience either but cons are ready to hand him the white house. what he was mayor of the huge "state" of new york.somehow that gives him experience in foreign policy. this is a bunch of crap i hope he gets the nod from the dem so he can win the white house. and go to work for the little poeple like me, and every on else that ask what has rudy done for the little guys. nothing i say. but lean on the lives lost in new york for political gain.

Does it make me a bigot if I think Ron Paul is a better candidate? My vote is going to sombody who I think will protect my rights and not someone who is just going to make me feel good.

EDIT: there is no way in hell he should be President. Obama wants to ban the sales of guns, which bothers me. Americans have the right to bear arms. And he is not the war hero John McCain or Duncan Hunter is. He is a wuss and it has nothing to do with him being black.

I don't like Obama for plenty of reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with race

Like the fact that he is a flaming socialist. Then you have his hostility towards the rights of Americans to keep and bear arms, he scored a miserable "F" grade from the NRA. And let's not forget his lack of military service. He doesn't strike me as a person who could order our military to kill the enemy.

I could be wrong about that, of course. But thats the distinct impression I get.

I hope you are not saying that anyone who does not believe Obama is qualified is a bigot. That would be very small minded and immature, not to mention bigoted as well!

What irrational bigoted statements are you refering to? The fact that he tried to incite a race war when addressing a group of black clergy? The fact that he hasn't accomplished anything? The fact that he hasn't led anything?

My pastor once told me: "I don't hate blacks, I don't hate Indians, I don't hate anyone....except those who hate others."
It is a riddle. Look in a mirror before you call anyone a bigot.
