I get along with many conservatives every day. The ones I don't get along with are the ones who don't support my right to have my own opinions. When a conservative respects my right to my opinion and doesn't treat me like less of a human being simply because I'm not a conservative, I get along with them.
In fact, I am having a cookout on the Fourth of July with my Republican next-door neighbor. We're very close friends.

We tried that on 9/11, but it did not last. Unfortunate, but it did not last. In the minds of many there needs to be an assignment of blame. The blame in the world of politics is the other party. If 9/11 did not change us, then nothing will change us.

No way, Fourth of July is a mixture of patriotism, politics and alcohol, throw in a few liberals and conservatives and you've got a volatile mixture.

No, there still will be liberal and conservative politicians going at each other. I am a moderate Libertarian, so I accept both sides and don't usually argue with either side.

They only seem to be able to get along in a time of national tragedy. Let's all hope it doesn't come to that for them to agree on something in the future.

I have no problems coexisting with those possessing opposite views. I just have no desire to put up with insolent trolls.
