No, for two reasons. One, I was a quiet, well behaved young child who could be entertained with writing and reading rather than screaming and yelling, and two, I was lucky to have good parents. One of my friends was wrongfully hit and abused as a small child though, due to a drunk single mother, and she is in foster care now.

My dad never smacked me, but my mom smacked me a few times on the butt when I was younger. Of course I'm 34 and it wasn't a big deal to spank your kids when I was growing up. She never did anything that would qualify as abuse ( Well, maybe today it would! ) It was nothing more then a swat on the butt...Of course I was fully dressed! I don't ever remember her making me cry.

Yes.
Both by my father and my mother.
It didn't happen many times... (My mother had only hit me when I was a child...)
But for other reasons as well, I wouldn't say that they were model parents... (I have far more complaints about my father than about my mother, though...)

Yes, we used to get the "belt". When I look back, I kind of agree with it. I see too many parents out at the mall trying to "talk" discipline to their rotten,no-respect,bratty kids with no results.

yes I received spankings, that I learned from. They were never gleeful at giving them and each one was looked at by me as a learning experience. I was respectful to my parents as well as others. I never once thought it was "abuse." Nor do I today.

Then, I think yes by accident. (well duh of course by accident)
It was like a pat from the car though.
OHHHH! You mean like spanked! Well DUH! YES! And a lot of times too! I was a hyper and naughty girl. Not the dirty/naughty kind, I mean the break a vase kind of thing. I'm in Middle School and my parents still spank me.....in every place imaginable. Mostly my butt....

yup. i was smacked and if i did something really bad then i would get the belt..... surprisingly the belt didnt even really hurt. lol me and my bro would pretend so my parents wouldn't find something else. but the smacks did hurt.
