I’m looking for free parking. (as a student I don’t have much money) I am up for a walk hopefully under a 1/4 mile but whatever. are the meters free on the 4th and how fast does the parking fill up? how much do the cable cars cost to take it to the end of Hyde?... basically I want to see the san Francisco fireworks for as little money as possible. I’m driving up from san Jose so if there are any other tips let me know...

I'm pretty sure there's no free parking within a mile of the pier. The cheapest way would probably be to take the train or a bus.

Cable cars are $5/ride, but you can buy a MUNI day pass for $11.

You could also post in the rideshare section on Craigslist - maybe someone would share parking fees with you.

well many things u could do. Golden Gate Bridge. Yes they will have a fireworks display at fishermans wharf on July 4. You could go to Twin Peaks Hill and Pier 39. Chinatown,Alcatraz, Cable Cars, Trolleys, etc. DON'T listen to people who say avoid tourist traps 'cause they are so much fun. Possibly a San Francisco Giants game, if you like baseball or the Giants. This is all I know. Hope I Helped. Oh and people aren't gay. People just say that but they've never been there. You'll probably see like 2 or 3 couples that are gay and thats it. And Lombard Street, The Worlds Most Crooked Street in the World P.S. I've been to San Francisco like 10 times. And I live like 30 minutes away.

if i were u i think that i would leave my car at home and then you could get on the MUNI for 1.50 and ride it all you want to for 1 day!! but sometimes it gets kind of stoped up and then u have to wait a while to get on the next MUNI but i would also take extra $$ for a cab just in case the MUNI takes to long!!

best of luck to ya!!
