If he pardons Libby, it will have nothing to do with "high standards" and everything to do with corruption.

My response is that he will pardon Libby and anyone else associated with his administration who was convicted of a crime.

Just like every President does.

Fact is, conservatives like to believe that only "criminal liberal Presidents" grant pardons to convicted felons. This is not the case, and a little research would show them that EVERY President grants a bunch of pardons after they leave office.

It's executive privilege being abused in the most free possible way.

And it is not surprising that most of the ignorant people who answered your question are acting like you've asserted that Bush pardoned someone, instead of reality, which is that you're asking for a reaction to BUSH'S WORDS about the POSSIBILITY that he MIGHT grant pardons upon leaving office.

People can't converse these days. They're too defensive.

Though I guess if I had ever voted for Bush, I'd be feeling pretty defensive myself.

what's humorous (inconsistent) is they are going to whine and ***** some wealthy Republican. yet they have not any difficulty with the likes of Michael Moore and different wealthy Liberals. this is okay for them to be wealthy, yet no longer Republicans. approximately Romney residing off his investments and paying a decrease tax value. that funds grow to be earned by skill of Romney in the form of his wages. He grow to be waiting to make investments at the same time as on the job. that funds grow to be already taxed. And yet another element, Romney isn't at fault for the tax value, he's purely following the tax regulations.

LOL, from a man that hasn't proven he has high standards on anything from "No Child Left Behind" to this war in Iraq. No, his standards are if they suit him and the objectives of his crime family and his administration. It has nothing to do with what is good for the country. It never has been about doing what is good for the country.

hey he only commuted Scooter's sentence for jail time..he'll erase the fine and conviction at a later date..all's well that keeps the Administration above the law..

In my judgment the worst, most corrupt and injurious to America's standing and reputation around the world...

When is he going to pardon the two border patrol agents? That would be the fair thing to do. If Scooter Libby deserves to have his sentence commuted, so do they.

Who did Mr. Bush pardon?

No one? That's what I thought.

My response? You need to look up the difference between "pardon" and "commutation".

The President hasn't pardoned anyone that I know of, so there is nothing to comment on.

If he pardons anyone he will not base his decision to do so on bribes ala Mark Ridge!
