If you google "phosphate ion" instead of just "phosphate", you will find that the formula is given, together with the ion charge.

Your examples are 3-, 2- and 2-.

Hg2SO4---(H2O)--->2Hg + SO4(--) K3PO4---(H2O)--->3K + PO4(3-) so tripotassiumphosphate with 4 ion (3 pos and 1 neg)
