Desenseatize them maybe. Maybe they are preparing them for the future where their campaigns are very sexual and feel that they will get them with things if they are older if they get it ingrained when they are little.
You saw a girl dressed like that in church?! My church would have flipped! We try to be very dignified and modest at my church and wearing something like that would be very frowned apon...

I had to answer this one because I feel the same way too. I went to the store to go summer clothes shopping for my 12 yr old and man I couldnt find any clothes that weren't hoochie lookin'. all the shorts were way too short for a 12 yr old. I ended up going to garage sales believe it or not! the world is really starting to disrespect women unless they're giving away p@$$? just watch some of the music videos and you'll see what I'm talking about. this is not the way a women should want to treated or looked at for.
Its a sad thing!

The parents or parent is responsible for what a 9 or 10 year old wears! why are the parents letting such girls dress this way?!
Many companies have no morals like tobacco companies. They will do whatever it takes to rake in the biggest profits they can. Sex sells, always has and always will.

OH SWEET LORD i agree totally. Women young and OLD ARE dressing in a disgusting mannor....>.O IF I had my way I'd set them all on fire, but I CANT for now anyway <.< Though I adore hooker boots cause they'd look cool with a pair o jeans and long sleeved black shirt BUT they dont look good on a hooker....oddly enough. >.O Sex Sells, it appeals to the lower instincts of humanity, sad huh? Most people love how girls are dressing, but I am with you 150%, I hate how companies are using the sex sells division for kids n such.

It is not okay to make toys nor clothing sexual for boys or girls. It all goes down to that stupid idea..sex sells...and they don't even think about who they are marketing too! A woman is more than a body--women should be know for what is one the inside more than the outside. We need to teach our little girls that you are defined as a woman by your character--not by showing off your flesh. We also need to stop having these images--like music videos--dolls..that show half dressed people. It is not attractive. No one wants a cheap woman. We need to return to values. Parents need to start at home--but those in the community need to be more active in this as well

I agree with you that there are inappropriate toys and clothes for little girls. I have two daughters ages 3 and 13, and I'm always trying to make sure they are dressed stylish and cute without looking grown up or sleazy! It's especially difficult for the 13 year old who wants to look like many of the young girls in Hollywood!

yes, sadly to say, it is all part of the sexual revolution and it disgusts me to no end. and Bratz is the worst of it, mind you barby was not much better. children now as young as 5 are taught to dress "sexy" and to strut there stuff. no one that you should ever be inflenced to do such a thing. It really is pretty sick.

Children rarely buy their own clothing, but they use sex to sell them because sex sells.
Is it the stores that sell them that are wrong, the people who buy them, or the ones who design them?
