Not as good as the original, however I nearly filled my shorts when that face appeared in the mirror!!

It sucked, big time. I love Ryan Reynolds, but I couldn't stand him playing George. The older Amityville scared the crap out of me when I wa a kid. This one just kind of made me yawn.

I'm sorry but it was crap. Absolute pigswill. Acting bad. Location bad. Props bad. It wasn't scary, the build up was too quick and the ending didn't come quick enough. Overall rating 1/10. (It gets one because it was English)

It was crap, waste of a cinema ticket. I almost walked out.
Why is there such an emphasis nowadays to replace genuine atmosphere and creepiness in films with mindless gore and violence?

If you are talking about the one in 2005 It is nothing compared to the 1979 one. but it is okay if you haven't seen the 1979 version

if you mean the one made a couple of years ago, i thought it was a bit of a let down especially when compared with the original.i just didn't find it scary.

pretty dull. have you ever read the original novel? boy that is scary. i read it in one evening then found I could not sleep. It is so frightening.
