I believe ppl can be gay, but it is a choice...it didnt happen in the womb. I KNOW ALL YOU PPL WILL DO IS TAKE THE GAY SAFE SIDE, which is cool, I dont blame you for backing down to a so called "Higher" society

Fist of all, if god didn't want people to be gay, he would have made it impossible. And why are you comparing gay people to rapists and murders? There a plenty of straight people in the world who rape and murder. It's not a choice. Why in the world would we choose to be attacked by mindless, selfcentered, conceded people like yourself? And if you were so sure about sexual orentation being a choice then why in the world do you have to ask this question? No offense but why do you think what you have to say is so important anyways? Just because you don't agree with people being gay doesn't mean every gay person is suddenly going to "turn" stright. Wake up little girl and grow a backbone.

Um no,it's scientificly proven that a persons sexual orientation is established sometimes before the age of 6.Why would someone WANT to be gay?
It's not like suddenly decide your gay,it's a BIG part of your life that can be remembered in the early age even if they didnt know what it was back then. "God gave them a choice" is a BS line so-called good Christians use because it's ONE sin against the Bible, but as you know,God forgives because even good Christians sin as do gays, every other religion, race, and group in our world.

I think you ment gays who DECIDE to follow through with the lifestyle.Because that is a choice. But if they do,it doesnt mean they are going to hell.

Love your fellow man, woman, and child for who they are,not what they do.

EDIT:Ah yes it's always easy to give the opinions that you DONT agree with a thumbs down,Tee.But you asked the question and here are your answers.Standing on a higher ground? That is just immature. It's people like you that create rift in our world.Do you also hate other religions other than your own who dont believe in YOUR God?

Tee, I don't know about your neighborhood, but there isn't another human being factory on my block. Therefore God is behind the creation of all humans.
God makes some people LGBT and some straight; some left- and some right-handed; and with lots of different eye colors. These are human variations. None of the variations are more "right" or "good" than the others.

We don't have to explain ourselves. We are God's children.
Bigots who spew hatred do. Who are they to defame any of God's children, or God's gifts to them?
We pray for such hypocrites to return to Jesus' teachings and the light.

EDIT - Sigh, yet another person confusing ORIENTATION (an inborn trait) with BEHAVIOR (a choice). You cannot change your orientation, though you can choose whether or not to have sex, or murder. These are different things, for those who bother with facts.

Isn't it funny you can in fact choose the god you want to believe in? But you can't choose how your eyes are colored, or which hand you write with, or the amount of hair on your body that grows. If your God did not want homosexuals, he would not have made any to begin with, and if you say he gave people free will, then why do you complain so?

*Edit: You cannot equate criminal intent with sexuality. The former is learned behaviour, while the latter is innate.

Sexual orientation is hard wired from birth. A gay person has about as much choice about the gender they love as you do. could you be come gay by an effort of will?
Why bring your silly superstition into the argument ?(rolls eyes)

and this is from personal experience? I think not. if you have not walked in the shoes on one then why are you speaking for one? You cannot possibly understand what one goes through or feels so why assume so? you should really look in the mirror and check yourself. when you do, you will see a whole world out their and is way beyond your little image of what you think is and what actually is.

I remember it like it was yesterday. The sky was overcast, a light mist began to fall, causing my glasses to smudge. I had been walking home from school, my backpack getting heavier with each step. All I could think about was getting home to my jell-o snack and afternoon nap. LIfe had been getting hectic, reaching 1st grade as I had, more homework, more people to be around. I arrived home, and like a good little girl I began to do my homework. I had just finished coloring (in the lines of course) when I realized, there was a choice to be made, and it was darn time I made it. Now, being roughly 8 years old, I of course already understood the complexity of human relations and all that they involve, sex, love, friendship, the whole shebang. I put down my salmon colored crayola, took one last sip of my milk and thought YES!!! I have decided I will for sure be a lesbian!! I weighed the pros and cons of each. If I decided to be straight, I would probably be able to get married, have children, etc. without dealing with a lot of ignorance along the way. However, if I decided to be a lesbian I would have the joy of listening to people tell me exactly how I feel, why I feel it (you know, people like you, since you have sooo much experience with being gay), what rights I should or should not be able to have based on a book written thousands of years ago, written by man, interpreted by man. But, what really tipped the scales was when I realized that by being a lesbian I would all but be guaranteed to throw a wicked fastball. And so, the decision was made. I would forever live my life as a lesbian. Let me explain myself to you, my smug, arrogant, all knowing little friend. I had my first crush on a girl in kindergarten. Luckily I was smart enough to not say anything. All through grade school, junior high, high school I only developed feelings for women. I tried SO HARD to not. I didn't want to be gay. I wanted to marry my best friend and have kids with him. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make me feelings change. As I'm not into really telling personal stories on the world wide web, I won't really get into some of the things I did to myself, some of the horrible nights I was awake wondering why I felt the way I did, and why I couldn't stop it. I won't tell you about the deep depression I was in for about 3.5, 4 years. You wouldn't want to hear it anyway. Because you, in your infinite wisdom, already know that all of this was something I decided I wanted to experience. I feel I have nothing to explain. So your little idea that we say we are born this way to avoid explaining ourselves makes no sense. I am the way I am for a reason. This is how I was made. You can question God all you want, but I won't. I'm glad you are so confident in yourself as to be able to tell quite literally hundreds of thousands of people that all the heartache, frustration, pain they have experienced due to people like you was in fact only a choice. Do I think there are some people who chose to be gay? Sure. Just like I feel there are gay people who chose to be straight. Sexuality is fluid. Since you are so intelligent, I'm sure you already know that. But I am telling you, and I would not lie, I have ALWAYS been gay. I have NEVER actively made the choice to be gay, and I have NEVER had feelings for a male. There are people who are born gay. I don't really care what you think. Why? Because I'm one of them, and that makes my first hand testimony so much more valuable than your uneducated opinion. Since I have shared so much with you, I would love it if you would return the favor and email me with the story of when you chose to be straight. Since it was after all a choice, according to the almighty you, I would love to hear what lead you to make the choice you made. And last, but certainly not least, I want you to know that your very existance, with the attitude you have, is going to harm someone someday. Probably some poor young kid in the midst of discovering who exactly they are. One negative word from you, and they are going to face the kind of transition I, and so many others, had to face when coming to grips with my sexuality. I hope you sleep well at night knowing that.

why would I lie? to you? I don't care what you think of me? I was born this way? I'm in this body and this head..I know a helluva lot more about being gay than you ever will...or do I?
and please learn to spell correctly--it's only polite.

First off, gay people don't "need" to explain themselves to anyone.
Secondly, why do you care and where is it your business?

You people are all alike....you have your bible tucked under one arm and the other arm is propping you up while you peer through other people's bedroom windows.

.......rolls eyes...........
