I think the 4th of July is one of the best days of the year. I get to spend much needed time with my family as we drive to the Camarillo airport, order some pizza, find a nice spot to layout on the grass and just chill, as we watch an old fashioned fireworks show.
Now as for being scared, hasn't America been in the Orange Alert since 9-11? Since when has someone from the Bush Administration or Homeland Security, told the Media, "Hey uh, everythings okay, you guys dont have to worry about terrorism. I mean has America ever been in the LOW Green Alert?
I'll tell you where you can find the terrorists. You see that big White House in D.C.? RIGHT THERE! And the Media is the BIGGEST puppet of the government. The government tells the Media EXACTLY what to report on and tell the American people. It's a scare tactic. Keep the country scared and their in lies the power. Not in the hands of the people. But in the hands of an Administration so desperate to remain steadfast and keep their power. So to be scared on the 4th is just another scare tactic.
So Americans are not supposed to go out on the 4th and celebrate our freakin' countries day of Independence? And it's tragic to hear about the attacks in Europe. We live in a violent universe, and we take our lives for granted everyday. We could get killed for anything. So no, I'm not going to fear the 4th now or ever. I'm going to live my life to the fullest. Like it was meant to be lived.
Besides, I trust the men and women of the Untied States military, so there's really nothing to worry about. I think there is also a bigger crackdown for illegal fireworks than terrorism on the 4th. HOORAH! Go Team America! YEAH!

If you want to think like that, then you can spend the rest of your life being scared of shadows. For that reason, I am not scared at all. Consider this: even if there WAS an attack on the U.S., your odds of dying in a car crash tomorrow are a thousand times greater than your odds of being injured by terrorists. Are you afraid to be driven anywhere? Of course not. The only thing I am scared of about tomorrow is that I'll lose my car keys. I have a long drive to make.

There was a story on the news recently that talked about the US presidents who died on the 4th of July, including Jefferson and Adams. As for an attack, not worried really. But you might be on to something, it's a pretty ominous date.

Actually, I've felt some bad vibes about tomorrow...I mean, it's our Independence Day! It's an almost perfect time for something horrific to happen. But then again, it's a very obvious national holiday, and the terrorists MUST know our government is going to be on high alert! Let's pray to GOD nothing happens...what a sad and dangerous world we inhabit now....and everyone hates us. (no thanks to Bush) Everyone, send out a prayer.

They have said the same thing for every holiday since 9/11.
From now on I am staying in a secured bunker in case terrorists decide to bomb midwest suburbs for their next attack.
Have a better chance to die about 4,278 ways before a terrorist attack. Worry about those things instead.

Hardly. I'm not going to be scared of the possiblity of something that MAY happen. I am not going to live in fear. I am thankful for where I am living right now, but I refuse to walk around with my face down and my head covered. I refuse to live in fear.

If you're going to live life according to what the talking heads on the news shows say, then don't even bother. Now get out there and enjoy yourself while you have youth and good health.

i really dont know anything could happen. God would have planned this out if this will happen to make us a stronger country, not to weaken us. hopefully this wont happen (a terrorist attack), but i will not be surprised if there is one. if anyone is hurt or knows someone hurt from a terrorist attack, i hope the best comes to u and hpe u feel better. =)
