Ergh!
I had it all planned out ... I was going to attend Benedictine College and major in biology and spanish...but now my mom wont let me go into medicine...she said I have to do something with my gift for languages. She said I have to go to a college that offeres German, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic. It has to be Catholic

I question why your mother doesn't want you to follow your passion. Forcing you into something that is not YOUR choice is bound to lead to trouble later. Have you tried to explain why you want to go into medicine? What about trying that you will go into medicine and go into Doctors Without Borders where you can travel to other countries and use your gift for languages and thereby use all your gifts/talents? Please don't give up too easily on your dream in favor of your mother's.

Tell you're mom to go suck a lemon. We need more people in the medical field. We don't need another person to help some idiot tourist ask the price of room and board.

Who is going to college, you or your mom. It's your life, not hers. She can't live it for your. Tell her to let go and let you decide what you want to do with your life and that includes college.

Are you 18? Then you are an adult. Don't let your mom squash your dreams.
You'll have to do it on your own dime/school loans, etc, but you'll be doing what you love.

ok the best place to go is gainsville go to university of florida for the gators. thats where im planning to go and its the best school ever.
