A lady I hardly knew was at my dad's funeral.

While I was eating she came up to me didn't even say "sorry or anything." She continued on and on at least an hour about her problems and life in general. I was already depressed about my dad and other things. Then a year later after my dad's death she starts following me at my church, and then the store I go to grocery store shopping at and the same laundromat too, and asking me strange questions, about me and my family! She was stalking me, because she lives 20 minutes away and there are plenty of stores and 2 churches where she lives.

Is she crazy or what, and what do you make of this?

Not related to the family, and no not a person who knew my dad. A friend of someone's friend who just happened to come along.

Androgynous, that is so funny, and true, yes, she came to a free dinner, and wanted to know everything.

Funerals are very common events where the weirdos come out of the woodwork. Nobody wants to create a scene at someone's funeral, and the free eats afterwards is a draw to the leeches as well.

As far as her continuing to follow you a year later, I would buy a gun for your personal protection.

That is weird, and I have had a similar experience with a girl who was obsessed with my older brother. It ended up that she had a not-so-happy childhood growing up, and not a very good relationship with her family at present. When she saw how my family was so close, and how friendly we were towards her, she was ALWAYS around. It was like she was trying to blend in with our family even though she is not related. I wonder if it is the same thing with this woman. She may have known your father one way or another, went to his funereal and saw what she thought was a great family she wanted to be part of....just a thought.
Anyways, if you are really concerned, next time yuo see her say something like "Wow, I see you everywhere! What brings you out to this area so often?" It will put her on the spot but in a nice way. Maybe you will get some answers.
Try changing your routine, and maybe she won't catch you so often.
Good luck!

The elderly:
1. Are dying for company
2. Are terrible at making conversation with younger people :p
3. Can be oblivious to the situation because what focus they have left can only accommodate so many situations at once.

have someone with you (witness) and ask her. if anything weird happens or a weird answer happens go to the police. try to get her name or as much as you can about her. be nice and casual "oh i remember you from my father's funeral, what's your name again? how are you? i've been seeing you a lot what have u been up to...."if shes old she just might be old, crazy, or have a disease. never know. juts preceed wiht caution.

Next time you see her just come right out and ask her why she's stalking you,if she doesn't stop file a restraining order against her.

Next time she does it be very straight forward. Tell her to leave you the heck alone or you will call the police.

you never asked her who she was and if she actually knew anyone in your family?

How can you talk to someone for a whole hour and not know anything about them?

....maybe she's a ghost.
