Sounds like patellofemoral syndrome, which is fairly common for kids your age and with your activity level. Basically your knee cap is not tracking properly and this irritates the tissue around and underneath your knee cap. I would recommend you go see a doctor to have a look at your knees and then try some physical therapy to strengthen your hip/butt muscles to take the stress off of your knees.

i can completely relate. all of those symptoms happened to me. i went to the doctor n he said nothings wrong. what it is is as a teenager especially females when they grow their knees give them a lot of problems and your chance was even greater increased because your active (as i was). i did physical therapy 5x a week for 4 months. after that i kept riding a bike (it helps physically somehow idk all the medical stuff). keep healthy, and if you are overweight get to a healthy weight and get some of the weight n pressure off those knees. my knee caps are still always cold, but thats not bad. as you get older and grow it will go away but it takes time. my still makes a popping or cracking nose occasionally when i bend down but the pains gone. another key is to strengthen the msucles that are attached to your knee. but because of the major pain you should get a MRI (as i did just in case). i had pain in both of my knees. on was just "the effects of growing and changing as an atheltic female" and the other was a bruised knee cap and hyperextended tendon.
hope some of that helped at least a little.

that seems like something that is beyond asking on yahoo answers, i think you NEED to find a local knee doctor and schedule PT. the doctor may suggest an MRI and possible surgery.
I just went to the knee doctor yesterday because i hyperextended my knee about a month ago and it was my follow up appointment. turns out my knee got worse and now i need an MRI and that will determine if i need surgery, or just the type of PT i'll be needing.

I can't answer what's wrong, but I do suggest that you see a doctor. One who specializes in sports injuries might be a good idea since this could be related to your sports activities.

I'm so sorry your daughter goes by way of this. I understand what it is like even though, and I largely empathize. I went by way of whatever equivalent eleven years in the past. I'm no longer as ill as I was now however nonetheless have persistent fatigue and fibromyalgia like signs. I understand how it's going from health care professional to health care professional and being allow down. A lot of what you describe, sounds very just like what I went by way of. It's rough to not get depressed whilst you believe horrible and medical professionals can not determine what's incorrect. Please ensure the medical professionals do not intimidate you and positioned her on anti-depressants. They did that to me and it virtually killed me. SSRI's are terrible medications and so they simply smash the frame and mind. You mentioned she's had a ct experiment. Of what? Has her mind been checked out? If no longer I recommend you difference the neurologist and insist an MRI of her head as quickly as feasible to rule out any tumors, M.S., Parkingson or equivalent illnesses. An Eeg could also be handy to verify for epilepsy. Checking for Lyme is a well proposal additionally doing a significant research to verify for mercury poisoning (or different heavy metals) or chemical sensitivities is a sensible factor to do as good. It would even be whatever extra realistic as Celiac Disease (allergy to wheat protein) or a thyroid situation. I understand a fine medical institution in Dallas that does all kinds of checking out for environmental ailments if you're interested. With me practically all of my checks got here out usual (I have a mild mitral valve prolapse too) I discovered to do my possess study and uncover integrative clinical, holistic, conventional chinese language treatment medical doctors and a well nutritionist. It can get very high-priced. You have got to uncover the proper humans however alongside the best way you can also uncover many that can not support. I was once identified with fibromyalgia however I understand I am touchy to chemical substances and medicines. New carpeting is among the matters that makes me very unwell. You have to call for out of your medical professionals to do the proper checking out, do your possess study and be your daughters champion. Doctors consider they're gods however they make plenty of errors and with well being care being as dangerous as it's now, they pass over plenty of matters. You have to uncover a compassionate health care professional who wishes to uncover out what's incorrect. I desire you the entire quality however often an effortless to repair analysis on your daughter. Let me understand if I can also be of any support. Btw, her signs do not fairly sound like fibromyalgia except it is combined in with whatever else like a sensitivity to whatever.

i had the same thing. They diagnosed me with chondromalacia. You should go see a sports medicine doctor or an orthopaedic surgeon. They will probably do an MRI. good luck :)
