cover the crack with flash banding, it sticks to almost anything!

You can also get primer to prime the surface first to give it an even better chance of sticking!

RE:
Crack in corrugated asbestos roof of garage?
Can crack be repaired (sealed) or has whole sheet to be taken down and replaced?

I was talking to an asbestos removal specialist the other day and he said it is ok to take down asbestos roofing yourself as it is pretty safe (as long as you do not grind it or sand it).
If it is a small crack fill it with clear silicon. Silicon will expand and contract with the heat and movement of the asbestos.
Otherwise you can put another clear corrugated sheet under the sheet above it and over the sheet below it.
Have fun

i have the same kind of roof for my garage, its actually asbestos cement, the type of asbestos will be chrysotile or more commenly known as white asbestos which is the least dangerous of the six types of fiberous asbestos. the asbestos content is quite low and can be painted over with a normal outdoor paint as long as precautions are taken.
1) Open the garage door to maximise airflow.
2) spray the paint on dont brush it.
3) where a dust mask, safety goggles and a paper suit (all can be bought from b & q.
4) when finished put your dust mask, suit, goggles in two bags and take them to the tip. most tips have an asbestos section.
5) when it is dry mix some pva glue with water and liberally spray the roof.
ps i its also my job to deal with asbestos every day.

Seal it from the top with a sheet of clear plastic corrugate and use waterproof mastic from a DIY store.
You are not allowed by law to touch and replace asbestos but that repair is allowed......

The major problem with asbestos is when it is determined to be "friable" or lose or crumbly. If you have a small crack or the sheet is still relatively sound, my suggestion would be chalk it with a urethane chalk. First you should lightly clean the area with a damp cloth and allow to dry. If you can chalk both sides of the sheet you will have nothing to worry about for a longtime.

"Badbilly" is right. Mask up and paint the material to lock down any fibers. You should be okay. If you're still concerned, mask up and vacuum the daylights out of the garage. Rent a HEPA vacuum, do it twice, then mop a couple of times. Finally, roll a coating onto the floor to seal down any remaining asbestos fibers.

AC (asbestos cement) sheets are perfectly harmless unless you grind them up and breath all the dust in, best thing to repair it with is a product called FLASHBAND a bitumen backed foil, comes in various widths, just cut off length required and stick over crack.

IF you decide to replace it you can dispose of the old sheet legally at any licenced recycling centre, and as a private citizen it is free. Check out their details on the web where they also have safety advice and full procedures for disposal.

only a licenced contractor can remove it.

you could try patching it up with something but do not drill or cut the asbestos. you wont be able to replace the sheet with asbestos so it might look odd replacing one planel with something else.
